Im waiting for my connecting flight to take me home now. As suggested, I DID make it to the Grey Areas. It was totally worth going to the second time, because this time they were open!! The buds were all fantastic. I will post our reviews once I get home and can sort through them. The bud at the Grey Areas FAR outweighed the quality, potency, and everything else of ANY weed I tried in Amsterdam and Haarlem. One thing I have noticed is that Grey Area seems to be the only shop (with the possible exception of Amnesia) in town that knows how to properly store their weed and handle it. None of them cure their weed properly. Period. I spent over E1000 in the shops over the last ten days, and Ithink I can now factually state that. Fact is, that I have better weed waiting for me at home. I say that because its not all about the quality. The selection is great, and being able to stop and smoke a joint almost whenever you feel like it is nice too.
You are AMAZING. You spent E1000 in 10 days on weed in Holland, and you can still write in coherent sentences.
This is what i have been wondering. You would think with an open market, amsterdam would have the best quality cannabis is the world. Is this not true? Is stateside Kush's and California buds better than what you would get in A dam? I am wanting to test this hypothesis next month...let me know your opinions.
I could have spent more with top shelf pricing from 12-15 Euros a gram. I havent made an exact tally yet, but im thinking it was more than that. I forgot to mention the dozen or so spacecakes that I tried in vain to get high from.(I was warned about them) The two times I got truly "blasted" were at Willy Wortels Indica while hitting the verdamper, and then again at Grey Area, using their volcano. I did not really ever seem to find myself more than buzzed most other times. I also noticed that I would only stay high for a max of 30 minutes or so. I dunno maybe it was just me. Im not bitter though! I would do it all over again. (except the space cakes) having the ability to purchase and smoke weed legally is very nice in itself. The Grey Areas, and Willy Wortels, and Amnesia lived up to the rep. I didnt get off unscathed. when I got home fro the airport, 5 minutes after being home I came down with the Norwalk flu.I have been down for the count till this morning. I have a ton of pics and stuff to post, as soon as I am well.
Not only that but we managed to go by car from amsterdam, to rotterdam, to brussels, to paris, and back while doing it! Renting a car, and having a GPS was one of the best moves we made. We also had a sober driver, which helped.
