How much generally do you tip the guy? And do you even bother to tip a piercer? I was just thinking and realized that I have never tipped any of my piercers....I have always tipped my tat guys about $20....and that was on a tat that was maybe $100 give or take 20. What about you all, cause Im actually going back for a couple of things and I dont want to be so clueless about it.
40% during dec and Jan? Are you serious? I have never heard of such a thing. edit:.....oh is that cause of the holiday season or whatever?
i live in australia..its not mandatory to tip..although if i get a good hair cut i normally give them a extra ten bucks.....i cant get over u have to pay extra in december and jan for the tips for hair cuts..
yep and a small gift is nice too if you see your hair dresser more than several times a year, dog groomers-the same thing. If it is the owner of the salon you don't have to tip. Your supposed to tip more at resturaunts too during the holidays
Even the piercers then huh? Damn, I feel like an ass having never tipped my piercers. Why did that not come to mind? Stupid me.
Hmmmm.....is there like a rule book or something? ........j/k. Actually, I always tip pretty good at salons and stuff....I used to be a waitress so I know the feeling. Plus I would rather over tip then undertip and sometimes I do go a little overboard I think. I never thought about the holiday thing though.....my parents dont celebrate holidays so I never did growing up and so I dont even notice stuff like that. But now that you have said something I will really try to be more aware. I can be really absent minded at times
Eh, are you supposed to tip piercers? I can see for something complex like tonuge and eye or whatever. But for ears? I got my first 2 done, and I tipped like 2, then the next 3 I didnt. Tattoo is a whole nother story though. That is an art. I tipped my guy $20. It would be rude not to tip. Like going to a resturant and not tipping your waiter (damn drunken basterds, lol.)
