Happy hardcore always struck me as 'kiddie' music. I don't really listen to old skool type stuff as such, but I like some new tunes in the prog.house category that introduce elements of an old skool sound.
I used to listen to it - some was very good, but I'm not so much of a jungle fan really, although I can put up with a certain amount of it... I now and then listen to some old acid house stuff from the late 80's early 90's - I still like the music, but technology has moved on a lot since then....
aye, it's pretty amazing. It's a shame that Drum n Bass hasn't really progressed anymore... just kinda makes hoover noises for hours.
Lol Back when Roni Size did 'new forms' it looked like it was going somewhere - still, a lot of people are well into D&B -
absolutely and there are a few that are still intelligent...LTJ Bukem for example. However, jump up or dark DnB has become monotonous... the same sounds, same breaks, same fillers.
I love hardcore, hardcore is a lot better these day's than it has ever been. I still love the old happy hardcore, but UK hardcore as its known now is amazing.
Lol yea, just downloaded some more oldskool break tapes on limewire, bit of DJ stu allen live 1992 manchester town ,- o n i still got me anties helterskelter,Raindance,Dance nation, Jungle from when she was 15 or so. o en yeah , the tidy "Tidy boys" dnt really know they had thier own events? like cream ect, u know the hardcore weekenders? pontins near southport "north west"
 LMFAO! I think not, for as long as LTJ Bukem, Roni Size and High Contrast keep producing. :H I mean, sure...for all those who like generic, unintelligent, chart-topping DnB where nobody is really mashing it up, just snorting loads of coke and K and cock-knocking the blonde birds who can't dance, incase their arses fall out...Pendulum is the way forward.
i love happy hardcore. i'm not put off at all by how cheesy and childish it is . i think it's amazing.
Damn right, UK Hardcore is alive and kicking, it's just so varied. I listen to the Old Skool and Happy Hardcore, the modern day UK Hardcore, Freeform Hardcore and Hardcore Techno/Gabber. Hardcore Til I Die.
You're having a laugh mate, Pendulum produce some good shit, but they will never 'the sound of Drum & Bass forever'. I used to like Drum & Bass alot more than I do now, but I still listen to it now and then. It's all about the UK Hardcore, Gabber, Techno and Hard Trance for me.
I'd have to say it's all about the psytrance Yo dude, if you're into the hardcore stuff... you into Ed Cox at all?
