Cannabis and Meditation - An Explorer's Guide'

Well, you can't say we didn't listen...

Although they were in the minority, after reading a couple of negative comments to the title of my book ('How to Be Good at Being Stoned'), the publishers and I have decided to change the title to something far more descriptive; 'Cannabis & Meditation - An Explorer's Guide'.

I really do feel that any user (not just people who want to explore the high) will benefit from reading it, but I also think that this new title isn't as confrontational as some found the old one.

i applaud you for not getting completely apeshit about people saying negative things
instead you made some changes to accomodate, congrats

 

The thing was that we knew people here were right. We'd struggled with a good title for a year and ended up with what we had because it was the most descriptive thing we could think of. We got stuck on it and it came to a point where we had to roll with it or not bring the book out at all.

But the members of HF gave their honest thoughts without any real flaming and we'd have been as arrogant as hell to think they didn't have a point. Really it's us (my publishers and I) who should be thanking you for being an honest bunch who didn't just nod and smile when I first talked about the book.

greate, greate book. I bought the abdobe version a few days ago and I must say I was amazed at how intresting and useful the book is. you should keep in mind though, that many of the exercises that "give you a better high" require monthes, sometimes years to master. greate book anyway.

are you trying to distribute MelT's book for free? if so, then that's like... uh...stealing man.

 

Bisexual, better listen to the poster above. The only PDF's out there were sent to reviewers, each was tagged in case of piracy. No commercial copies have been sold yet, all sales thus far are for print copies. So, where did you get your copy and why do you think it's okay to steal from me?

Also, the techniques in it don't take years to master. Many work instantly, some take days, only things like actually learning to meditate (which you dont have to do, though it would help) is the only thing that takes time - and even that can be done to an adequate level in a few weeks at best. None of it is rocket science. Getting better highs doesn't really even need 'techniques' to learn at the base end, there's a mass of things that people can accidentally do wrong to spoil a high, and putting these things right has instant effects.


Anyway, distributing a copyright work is a pretty heavy crime in the US, are you sure you want to go through with it?

I am doing all this in part cause despite the fact of it being a greate book you still kinda decieved us into thinking the tips you are giving are some things that can be done instantly while they are not. I am not talking about a few days either you gotta be patient enough to keep on practicing each of the techniques enough to master them in order to really benefit from the book.
while other chapters like enlightment and understanding reality seem more like philosofy hindu buddhist lessons which make for a quite boring read.

MelT spent years creating this book, and as soon as he releases it you steal it? That's a pretty scummy move. If you think it's such a "great book" then why are you stealing from its author?

Piracy is against the law worldwide, internet or no. You do realise that if you do ever have the FULL PDF that it's tagged, and all subsequent copies that you make point back to your copy?
