I'm currently a Lutheran Christian. My parents are devout. I do believe that there is a god. I'm just not sure that god would put his "son" on the earth. I'm also not sure of this christian God.

I've looked into Paganism a tad in the past. My searches always come up as a disappointment. I usually can't find the answers. I do have a few questions and if anyone can answer them or tell me where to look it would be most helpful.

    1. What are the days of Celebration. Like Solstices, etc.
    2. How many and what are the forms of this Religion.
    3. What are the rituals (if any)?

They are pretty basic. I just want to know where to start, etc. I don't just want to go in saying "I believe in the God and Goddess, but don't know anything else about Paganism".

    Thanks.

    Peace and Love,

    August/Basil

Thank you very music Turq. I will look into this site today. Hopefully (and I'm guessing it will) answer all of my questions. So far I'm enjoying it.

To be honest this all depends what you want to do.
I would say that the majority of Pagans follow some sort of Celtic or Germanic derivative, but there are many others.

The easy way to think of Paganism is to think of the pre-Christian religions including the indiginous religions of the Americas, Asia, and Africa.

As for holidays, there is a HUGE variation here. Most have something for the equinoxes and solstices, so that's four holidays right there.

You could also google "paganism" I'm sure you will come up with a lot of interesting sites. There are different branches of Paganism aswell so make sure you do some research before you jump into something, be sure to look deep inside yourself most of all, because thats truly where the answers lie. I find that Paganism found me, not me finding it.

There isn't a religion called paganism, its simply a broad term applied to non-christian native spiritualities most of which were all but stamped out by christianity.

I agree with blair when he says to look within yourself for the answers. You can read all the books you want and label paganism a million different ways, but in the end it is all what is meaningful to you. Also rose was right in suggesting that website, it is a very good one. and remeber that energy is abundant and within us all.

Paganism is actualy defined as "not of the religions of abraham" which means if you are not christian, islamic or jewish you are a pagan. Even hindus are pagans. If you are interested in earth religions though I would recomend:

It will help you sift through a lot of the bullshit.
