This Is Really Good. He takes all this dawn of the dead/resident evil stuff and makes his own brand. he really makes it his own and you cant tell hes just not ripping off eveyone else. even though i dont think he would ever have to with his imagination. he is a great legend.
It's a long time since I read a King book. Is this a new book Skyyler? Judging by your references, is it a zombie type of survival horror fiction?
It is new book... still in hard cover. It is a Zombie-type survival book, but with a major twist, which I don't want to tell you due to the possiablity of ruining it for you. Any book that is about cell phones turning people into mindless idiots is awesome in my books!
Thanks for the link jasmine28, and welcome to the forum. I have an overloaded reading list this year, and I wasn't going to have time to read King. I will make an exception in this case, however, because the book looks promising. The book pays homage to George Romero, and, apparently, it's a deparure from Stephen King's usual style of writing. It might be shit, but this I've got to see. I will let you know my opinion as soon as I've read it.
It's not that stupid film with fatarse Lopez in it, is it? Oh, look at me, I can sing and I can act and I've got a big fat arse. Is that the one?
No. Stephen King wrote "Curry". Don King wrote "Lassy" and Rodney King wrote "A Civil Suit Against The LAPD".
the social commentary in this book is a little less than subtle. its pretty gory too, but its entertaining
Carrie is his best! I am a massive Stephen King fan, but I have to say I was a litle dissapointed in The Cell. I enjoyed it, it was well written - finally King is back to his best in that respect (I think he lost if for a while) but if felt like a bit of a cop out to me. Like it was just a modern day spin on The Stand. Like I said, I still enjoyed it, but I have issues with it as well! But King is still my God!
I was surprised at how much i liked it, i didn't think any king books would be as good aftr finishing the dark tower series.
