What is it that you wish for deep down inside? What is your veiw on the perfect life?

For me it would be to live in a small self sufficent community that would not be bothered by anyone. No religious zealots, no opinionated uninformed powerholders. People there would be open-minded, diverse and unmaterialistic. There would be no preconceptions, and everyone would love everyone else. That is my (sadly unrealistic) dream.

I'd like to live in a world where people could enjoy the company of each other without being "forced" to. I'd like to live in a world where anything could happen (as in, your dreams for your life could come true). I'd like to live in a world where everyone was calm, peaceful, and intelligent.

I'd like to live in a world where artists are revered and politicians are considered silly/empty headed/unrealistic.

    :)

Oh yeah, and people are required to hug as a greeting, nodding is prohibited.

Hugs would certainly be nice as a greeting as long as people didnt get sexual about it, as I'm sure too many people would do.

MY perfect world would be a world where violence wouldn't exist. Where you can travell free wherever you like. If you want to see the Niagara.. sure go ahead. Want to see the Amazon... just go :). No Borders no countries. Just ppl living in a community taking care of eachother. Sure it borders on communism but hehe... doesn't mean it doesnt sound nice to me ;).

Yeah, this is true. Sometime I just wish for a place to retreat to when things get to be too much, as im sure many other people do. Now that you got me thinking, I guess people can never be truly happy. For me at least, when I look back to when I was a kid I think of how easy and good life was back then. At the time, I actually wasn't very happy at all. The smallest problems seem huge if you have nothing to compare them to.

Personally, I'd like to see a world where we talk instead of bomb the shit outta eachother, a world where a border is just a line on a map defining where you are and a world where nuclear weapons are viewed like they are: Needless.

I wish people would learn to love more, judge less. Stopped trying to control everything and everyone, lived more in harmony with nature. The hug greeting thing sounds good actually =] lol and I wish people would really LIVE and understand how amazing this world really is - and ur a part of that!! A part of this universe, that alone is something so beautiful. And stop taking things for granted. We all do that so often, well most ppl neway, take everything for granted (including ppl) then regret when that thing or person is gone. *Sigh* maybe on another planet somewhere out in space there is a world exactly like the one we'r describing. Lol without greed, war, hate and someday the ppl that live there will come and rescue all of us and we will all live together in perfect harmony. Haha its possible!!
    Peace
    Love Jane

I think a world where humans don't have to be afraid for other humans, where they unite as one race and don't struggle for power over eachother (out of fear or feelings of supremity) is my view on perfect life. Perfect life is a bit difficult though, because if you think about it nothing can be perfect.
I would certainly not wish for a world with only calm, peaceful and intelligent people. Sure, it seems nice, but are unintelligent people worth less? Does everybody needs to be calm all the time, or even peaceful? I love to see a person raging sometimes, it's part of what makes us human.
What really would make perfection is when everybody could live with other peoples differences and yes, imperfections.

I am inclined to disagree with the mandatory hug thing. I would like to reserve hugging for my intimate friends, keep it authentic and sincere. I don't want to get "up close and personal" with everyone I meet. It is not natural to put yourself in such a vulnerable position, when you haven't had time to judge who it is you are hugging. Diseases can be passed by that close of a proximity, and it could be dangerous to trust everyone so openly.

I give most people a nod of recognition just for being another human being, and I will reach out and hold a persons hand for a moment (handshake) if I meet them or are introduced, and am so inclined, but will keep my hugs for those who I want to be near, pass on the warmth of my body, and reinforce my love through touch. It would be sad if hugs became so everyday, and automatic that it didn't even mean anything anymore. I feel that a smiling face, and openness to another is an adequate greeting in most cases.

[IMG] Can you take an act of intimacy too far ?

Requirements for greetings does not contribute to perfection at all in my book.

I wish that I could just finally be done with school and buy the bus I have been saving up for for so long, and travel the world promoting peace with my best friends. That's what would make me happy.

    Oh, and I wish I had a puppy. =]

There is no such thing as perfection or Normality, as these are too abstract to define...

World: No violence. No hatred. No religion.

Life: Oh yes, the girl I'm envious of has it. I do not claim that her life is perfect by definition, but it is definitley perfection in my eyes.
