Any Nirvana Fans?

Yes I'm talking about the 90's Nirvana, not the one from the 70's. But is there any fellow Nirvana fans out there on the Hip Forums??? Their one of my favorite bands of all time!!! Cobain is totally my hero. I'm not obsessed with them or anything, I just really love all their music.

 

Actually, I think they were around in the 60's, not the 70's. But hey, I'm glad that you actually know of the original Nirvana. Most people don't...

 

Yeah I kinda realized that after I typed it down. Actually i was coming back here to edit it, and you had already realized it for me. Thanks. I know about the 60's nirvana, I think the 90's band got sued for using theyre name once. The 60's band had some pretty cool hits, I think I got a single called cocaine girl around my house somewhere. Its pretty far out. So yeah sorry bout that.

 

I hate Kurt Cobain too much to really like Nirvana, but they don't completely suck. Smells Like Teen Spirit was the first music video I ever saw. I was in like 1st grade or something.


Actually, it was either that one, or "We Didn't Start the Fire" or whatever by Billy Joel......

 

I LOVE Nirvana...i think they are one of the greatest bands ever...hell they pretty much started the whole grunge era....and if anyone has doubts bout that let me know ho

I don't think they'd be so revered if Kurt hadn't commited suicide at the peak of their popularity. And, no offense, but Kurt wasn't exactly the best guitar player, either.

I don't mean this to sound like I hate them or anything. They're actually one of my favorite bands and I have all their albums.

 

When Smells Like Teen Spirit was released I was 17 and I was like Thank God! No more heavy Metal crap!!!!

Whoa whoa, wait. Since when did Kurt HAVE to die? He killed himself, for crying out loud! He didn't HAVE to die, he CHOSE to.

 

ive only heard a little of the Nirvana in the 60's. must look up on that



i like Nirvana and i think theyre pretty good, but kurt cobain is pretty overrated.

 

I love Nirvana, I have all of their CD's and some other stuff, they are incredible. I'm sad Kurt died... but then again I am pretty sure all Nirvana fans are

 

there okay, i mean they have a few good songs and what not, it is sad about cobain tho, butif he wasnt happy, what can u do, but who cant be happy when u have a kid man, w/e, peace!!

 

I have every commercial CD, some singles, and some bootleg stuff from them.

I think they're great, and I really like Dave Grohl's drumwork.


If anyone would read a background history of Kurt Cobain, they would see some insight to his music and lyrics. He was quite an interesting fellow.

As far as being revered only because of Kurt's death -- they were revered as a band years before that occurred. Years.

 

Nirvana is great! And I dont think that Kurt killed himself. Courtney couldnt get the break she wanted...what better way to get publicity than to be the "victim" of kurt's "suicide"? I think she hired someone to kill him, and make it look like a suicide...Yeah I'm onto you Courtney...

 

I can dig Nirvana, but more so if I'm angry or sad.
It just connects with me more then.

I agree. I have read two books on Kurt. He is quite the intersting fellow.
Anyway, I was a fan before his death....and I am still a fan. I have always loved Nirvana. Whether or not he killed himself is up for debate. yes, he had triple the lethal amount of Heroin in his system, so Im assuming he had absolutley no idea what he was doing (if he killed himself), or what was going on at the time of his death
