Lol, it's not really metting another girl, I've met a ton, just none that I like like I like this girl. Who knows, someone else will show up or she will come back, only a really pussy would give up and go into a deppression at the ripe age of 20. I'm a good lookin guy and in shape i'll just have to get past this crappy part.

 

Wow. I've read every post in this thread, and was rooting for you and everything, but then I read the post which you just put about what's been happening lately, I want to say, I'm really sorry.

That really blows, how she just hooked up with that guy like that. But, she was just confused from the beginning, she thought she liked you as much as you liked her, and lead you on to believe that, but obviously she didn't. She was 16 and was confused.

I know it must hurt, but you can't let yourself become depressed over it. Because as much as you think it was meant to be, this just shows, that it wasn't. If you two were meant to be, then she would never have hooked up with that guy. Or, I suppose you two could be meant to be, and something between her and her bf will happen, which will lead you two together again...

But in the meantime, you can't let this whole situation control your life. Go out there and meet a nice girl. And if something is meant to happen, it will. Whether or not you sit around and sulk, or go out and get another girl. If she's in your future, then no matter what you do, she'll end up in your future some how.

 

Unless you want to end up on dateline nbc with brian williams I wouldnt suggest talking or doing anything with an underage person. Just think about it.

 

My condolences to you. Yours is a common story but one that does not always end in loss. True love is a gift and must be nurtured intelligently and with dedication. It will probably come again but learn from this one and don't let it slip away again. Your heart tells you right from wrong, not anyone else.

id just like to add that 4 years is nothing. age doesnt mean shit.
all the guys im ever interested in or involved with are older than me, sometimes by a lot. as long as you feel like youre on the same level with someone theres no reason why it shouldnt work fine. i also dont think consentual sex should be limited by age, thats just stupid.
i do agree that the one important issue would have been her parents approval. my moms ok with me dating anyone i feel is right for me, regardless of age, as long as we are both open with it.

 

Ummmmm. I would be careful. Iam sure you are a great guy but you don't want people to get the wrong idea. Old guys sometimes NOT ALL THE TIME want different things from younger gals and some people close to her might think that. Age may not matter to you and her but it may to her family. I would just continue talking to her and see what happens. See if she can talk to her parents about the situation because comming from the standpoint of a girl who was hurt by an older guy I don't think her parents would be overreacting if they were concerned but if they forbid her to see or talk to you. If its meant to be it will work.

maybe she is not 100% adequate about her feelings ( i'm sure she's sincere with you) but she might have some feelings and needs mixed up after her mothers death. the situaltion with the other guy seems kinda random, i think he's just an easy fix for her, someone who is around so she would feel loved.
