kubuntu to gnome

    i have installed kubuntu on one of my machines but dont like kde deskktop is the there any to change kde to gnome desktop.....i have tried to install ubuntu on this machine from disc but it wont install for some reason only kubuntu will install.........any help would be great

    from terminal or consol, go root/sudo and type this:
    or you could go to 'Synaptic' package manager and select to install 'Gnome'. or you could go to 'Add/Remove Software' and install 'Gnome'.

    well, there are other ways but that should be plenty for you.

    thanks for your quick reply [​IMG] im a bit new to all this linux stuff but i think ubuntu 7.04 feisty fawn is the best ubuntu distro yet THANKS AGAIN

    i hear good things about fiesty.

    i just installed the newest debian 4 on an old 750mhz AMD and i am very very impressed so far. fiesty is based on debian but aimed at being easier. if ubuntu is easier than debian 4 then it is as easy as windows.
