Hey.. I'm Allie, I'm 16, and I'm from America, not the U.K., I'm just fascinated with the European continent. I'm sort of new to this forum posting business unless you would put this in the same category of the -ever so popular- myspace, but that website has become such a pain and a joke so I guess investing some time into this one is more worthwhile.

To start, I wouldn't say I'm a complicated person, but like any other, I can be hard to understand and sometimes impossible to read. Probably because I'm a free spirit and apparently I'm incredibly unpredictable (but does that not make life more fun?). I'm a devout vegeterian but not a vegen... no meat, no pultry, no fish, yes dairy, yes eggs. It's pretty unfortunate that tons of poeple these days follow the "trend" of vegeterianism because it's cool or because it's a good weight loss strategy but in my oppionion, people that are veges for those purposes are in it for the wrong reason. The slaughtering of animals repulses me. Thinking of the conditions they are kept in and the way they are kept upsets me deeply which is why i could NEVER bring myself to actually eat them although i would never stop another person from eating meat (coming from an all-italian all-meat-eating family, I just have strong views). I'm also an enviornmentalist. Litter bugs beware i WILL yell at you if i see you toss a coffee cup on the street or throw a napkin out the window. Why wouldn't people make the small effort to keep our earth clean. We only have one and from what we know, mother nature has been pretty damn kind to us.

Aside from all of that, my true love and passion lies in the theatre. I'm a dancer, a singer, and an actress. I have been dancing since i was three as well as singing and acting so I'm very classically trained. Still, contemporary work is my favorite! Clearly, being an actress has made me extremely well-read, I always have to read a play or enhance my vocabulary so I don't sound like another typical bimbo on a great casting audition. I can't really say what it is about theatre i am so attracted to. For some people, being on stage in front of thousands of poeple, or a mere audience of ten is nerve racking and strenuous. For me, I can't get enough of it. Something about the stage, the camera, or even just plain old classes draws me in. Everyone has that passion in their lives that gives them the drive to keep going. This is mine. I can't get enough of it. Honestly, it's like a natural high for me, and we all love those.[IMG]

I'm a really silly girl. I can either be extremely mature or ridiculously immature depending on who I'm with or what kind of mood I'm in. Either way i promise never to be less then fun to hang out with. My latest random obsession has been photogrpahy and indie books. I don't know, I go through phases like that haha. I have always and will always be into indie bands and i wear a lot of vintage and dresses (but NEVER frumpy clothing! I'm a pretty trendy chick).

I guarantee that we will get along if we start talking. And if you have any other questions... I'll be around.[IMG]

A fine introduction indeed, welcome aboard. You sound quite like my little lady Shannon 12.5, she's vegetarian and has aspirations to become involved in the performing arts also. If you like photography you need to check the arts and crafts portion of the UK site, some real nice work in there.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Yes, the European continent of Europe is a cultural hub of everything interesting. A lot of the finer things in life are based in Europe. As the UK is split by the English channel, about the same width and breath as the Bristol channel, I often wonder why we have to have a passport to get into France. Anyway, hope you enjoy these forums. The Uk forum has something a bit unique. We Brits are not as quaint as some American folk suggest, and we don't drink that much tea at all. What with Options, hot chocolate and Horlicks, and Nescafe, we are spoilt for choice.

    Additional:

We have enough topics to last thirty thousand years. However we only have one After eight left. Everyone is too polite to take it.

Green tea is purportedly healthier too, especially without milk. Add a little jasmine or lemon, and you've got the perfect cup....

my old man or the Ice cream man (He sells ice cream for a living) he puts in some loose pg tips into a tea pot with a bit of Basil herb. He serves it in glass mugs and does not add milk. He adds a slice of lemon and three sugars. Tried it myself and couldn't believe basil made tea taste even nicer.
