Almost arrested.. VERY close call at the Mountains!

So I was at my favorite camping spot in the world.. a mountain, that's actually a Wildlife Management Area.. which means you can still camp there, but basically it's set aside for hunters.

I was with a buddy (19), his girlfriend (17) and his sister (15). Now, he let his sister drive us around on the mountain (she has her learner's but didnt' have it with her). Anyways, my buddy is in the backseat, next to me, drinking a beer. At about 2:00 in the afternoon. We go around a corner on the mountain, and what do we see?

Six GSP officers, drug dog, and Park Services people.. there's a checkpoint ahead, and it looks like we're really fucked! Not to mention we had about a half quarter (well stashed though). Anyways, once the cops find out she doesn't have a license, they make us all get out of the car, and they search it. They immediately find the can, and ask who's it was. (I don't even drink, so I wasn't worried about that part). However, when they brought the drug dog over, it was a different story. I was sure they were going to find it. Anyways, this girl that was driving had accidently left her bowl in the glove box, and the dog alerted to that.. They never used the dog anymore after they found the bowl, but the herb was pretty close to where the bowl was..

Anyways, they didn't give us anything for the bowl. But they gave my friend two tickets: one for minor in possession of alcohol, and the other for letting his younger sister drive.

It was really scary though! It makes me more paranoid, but I think we really had the major problems because:

his sister was driving without a license
and my buddy was drinking a beer

Stupid situation, but I'm glad we got off with a slap on the wrist!
