If I'm supposed to look up history before I 'spout' off like you said, then why don't you learn about me before you attempt you're lame ass excuses of insults on me. Gardener, you are are less intelligent than I am, you may beat me on smarts which I don't give a rats ass about. But Intelligence, no, you just spout off on your emotions.

Learn about who you are going to insult before you ever even attempt to think about an insult.

sorry, eggs, but your account of the kent state massacr was obviously uninformed and factually incorrect, so gardner does have a point.

i wish you two would both stop the bickering and name-calling though. it's a pain for the rest of us who are seriously interested in the events at kent state to read. thanks! :)

It's sometimes stated that the guard were pinned up against a fence in the practice field when they fired, which isn't true. The History Channel did a documentary on Kent that confused some people into thinking this.

The area where the guard fired was not the practice field but at the top of the hill between the corner of Taylor and the Pagoda. If you visit the Kent campus, you can look down at the parking lot of Prentice Hall from this vantage point and it looks like an arcade game. Being a high point made it a good point from which to fire into the parking lot at the students that were gathered there. After that point on the hill, the guard would have headed back downhill into the commons. I've always been suspicious of that particular point as being the one where the firing occurred and the fact that a number of guard members turned at the same time and started firing.

The fact that James Russell was shot at an angle 90 degrees to the line of fire and 375 feet away is also suspicious. I've never heard a valid reason as to why he would be considered a threat.

If you didn't care enough about the issue, then why bother to join in the discussion, unless trolling is your reason for being here. :troll:

In that case, you shouldn't be annoyed when someone tells you off.
Neither should you be surprised if you end up getting banned in the future...

Already was banned for insulting someone, when I've been insulted on several instances but those people weren't banned.

As for me joining in to here... devils advocate, its usually a fun role to play. I've been biting my tounge on how I really feel about this topic and others somewhat like it.

Have you ever considered why you were banned and not other people?

If you thought the reason was not fair, then why do you coming back, doing the same thing over and over again.

I think for the most part those who seek to play the role of devil's advocate in discussion groups without actually contributing anything of value to a discussion are simply immature, attention seekers.

Sorry, but from the looks of it, you might be setting yourself up for another banning...

Russell's name came up. Here is a photo from the commemoration May 4th, 2007. Joseph Lewis is on the left and James Russell on the right. Both live in Oregon, visit schools, and teach youngsters about the Kent shootings.
