Okay, the title of this thread says it all. iMac, iBook, iPod, iTunes, iSight, iMSN, iWord..... yeah. It's really getting to me. I stay out of the iGeneration. It's pathetic to me how people wear their iPod headphones with non iPod MP3 players so that they look iTrendy. I went to my homepage today, which is my personalized Google page, and the logo said "iGoogle". That was the last straw!! I'm so sick of the iTrend!
I also don't follow the masses just got my usb stick today after my last floppy gave out last week still don't have a mp3 player to be honest seems like I wont be getting one in the near future...
iTrend. i guess your right about that in some ways. i never really thought about how ppl think it is cool to have the i things. welp, actually i never really paid enough attention to trends anyway; dont care. honestly, if someone wants to be in the iTrend, whoopty shit. it doesnt bother me. and kids dont walk around my campus with iPod headphones without an iPod. i can say that i bought my iBook without considering the name of it. i bought it because i like Apple and the MacOSX system. but who cares what is cool as long as it doesnt draw attention to ME. btw, i is a marketing tactic that means I as in ME. myPod, myGoogle, myTrend, myEtc.
same here i bought my ipod cause it is the one i wanted, not cause it is "cool". i dont care eather way.
I know it means "my"... but I still hate it. I even tried to personalize the logo on google but "plain logo" is "iGoogle". UGH!
ur a fucking dumb piece of shit idiot whoever posted this. macs do suck but wtf is wrong with u u little bitch. Its not a goddamn trend
This is what happens when the public jumps on the technology bandwagon. Companies cater to the masses instead of making innovative products. For the record, the IPod isn't innovative nor was it ever. Neither is the iMac or iBook. The only reason they had any sucess is because apple made it into a status symbol.
the iPod expanded the mp3 player market for us. it forced other vendors to match the drive size. the first big iPod was like 4Gb right? i think i had a 32mb mp3 player back then. i would say mac is pretty fair about the iPod market. they dont hide the new stuff from us so they can still make money off the old stuff first.
I never said it was a big deal. I said it was annoying. I did ignore it, until my google personal homepage was renamed from "google" to "iGoogle". Then it was pushing itself on me. Then I got super annoyed.
