Anyone Heard of Leadbelly? He's one of my favorites here. He's up there with John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix

He's pretty awesome. My grandfather listened to him a lot when I was a kid. I think I heard him do this song called Goodnight Irene or something.... it's a great song. I love being depressed...haha

There was a movie, Leadbelly. He played an awesome 12-string guitar and came up with some great folk & blues. Unfortunately he couldn't stay out of jail or else he could have had a much greater career.

Well, if he hadn't been in jail, though, he wouldn't have been discovered...... :p

Yeah! I've heard of Ledbelly. He wrote House of the Rising sun and loads of other great blues songs.

Real name was Huddie Ledbetter - He performed songs like Alabama Bound, Take This Hammer, Black Betty, John Henry, Good Night Irene, and Rock Island Line. I don't know how many of them he wrote. He also recorded some duets with Woody Guthrie.
