I have to say one of my favorite folk rock bands is Buffalo Springfield. Yeah, "For What It's Worth" is freaking amazing, but they had so many other wonderful songs, like "Blue Bird" and "Rock and Roll Woman" etc. etc. etc. Top quality folk rock in my opinion. Both the vocal and instrumental parts were killer. I loved it when they'd break out an acoustic guitar, and play the hell out of it. Anyway, any other Buffalo Springfield fans here?
a band with many talented musicians:richie furay,neil young,stephen stills.they made 3 beautiful albums.My favorite songs:for what it's worth,mr soul,nowaday's clancy can't even sing and on the way home
Yeah, I haven't been listening so much to them, but I like the songs I've heard. I'm going to buy a record of them soon... Any suggestions what to buy?
Absolutely. LOVE BS. Steve has always rocked my world. Since I was about 12. This would have been about 1966. For What It's Worth is a classic now. That song was writtin about the riots in Los Angeles - I lived there then. I got to see Buffalo Springfield at Santa Monica pier when they used to film an outside show called "Groovy at The Beach", hosted by Michael Blodgett. You can find a smattering about him on the net, but not much. I was lucky enough to get Steve, Neil and Richie's autographs - which I have to this day, in my little teeny-bopper autograph book bought at JJ Newberrys. Fav songs: For What Its Worth Bluebird Child's Claim to Fame (FUN to sing with) Uno Mundo Four Days Gone Go And Say Goodbye and so many more...
