Okay, so I'm going and ordering some Dr. Bronner's as I've seen lots of you guys reccommend. However, I was wondering if I should use one over the other? I'd like to get the bar soap because it seems it'd last longer, and let's face it.. i'm a cheap ass when it comes to buying necessities. =D

So, would I be able to use the bar soap in my dreads, or would liquid be a better choice?

I just order a huge bulk bottle of it and dilute it with some water in my hands, a little bit goes a long way.

I use the liquid peppermint. I haven't tried the bar soap yet.

it's a matter of preference, really makes no difference...however I can tell you from experience the liquid lasts longer than the bar...........a little bit of the liquid goes a loooooong way.

the liquid lasts an eternity. I've had a bottle for over a year that hasn't even become a quarter of the way empty... has anyone else had trouble getting it to rinse clean, the tea tree soap?

No it rinses fine for me............I use about 3 bottles of liquid a year probably, but I also use it quite liberally, not only for my hair but as body wash.

I'm definitely going to use it for my hair, and bodywash. Heck, I might even use it for toothpaste/mouthwash as some do. It seems like it's quite the product to have to clean just about anything.

I bought the peppermint kind. Is the tea tree better?

i think the liquid might last longer, like everyone says. i just use a bar of shampoo soap (with ess. oils that are good for your hair) that i get at the health food store. its locally made and all natural which is important to me. my mom just got some doctor bronners liquid though for the family to use, so ill be moving on to that once this bar is dead and gone :)

oh, a tip for liquid soap users- yknow those hair dye applicators with the pointy tips and screw off lids? they are the best thing to dilute your soap in. the pointy tip can reach right in amongst your dreads :)

dang I got lucky because the store I work at just got some of this shampoo in because its supposed to be a really good seller so I took a bottle home. Its got some crazy writing on it though, I like it already.

I use the soap bar. Two reasons.

    1. It lasts ages (as I'm sure the liquid does too)
    2. It's much better for the environment. Involves a lot less packaging. Plus the soap bar is wrapped in recylced paper, not a plastic bottle (eevil!)
    :)
