Why is it that when boys play video games they get so pissed off? I just dont understand it... and when you try to make them feel better by cracking a joke to lighten the mood they snap on you? Grr. Boys.
its a fantasy world. if you fuck up, they can start over. but they dont want to start over b/c every time they start over, they admit defeat. if they have distractions, you chance them losing. its an addiction. every level they pass is another knotch on the video game ego belt when they gather with their friends to discuss what level they got to. that would be my guess
I agree with Syra, but I wouldn't know... I really don't play video games. I don't really like video games unless it relates to nostalgia. New video games and all the BS people go through to get them is just ridiculous, these days.
BS to get them? I just walk into a store - or even easier yet, I buy digital downloads of games. I'd give you an answer but it would depend on the style of game he was playing. Is he getting frustrated at the game or at interruptions? I've observed this in my husband. Which is funny 'cause I play more games than him. He'll be going along and then he'll get really frustrated. Then he'll keep going at it and the frustration builds. I'll say 'hey, doesn't sound like you're having fun - take a break' and he'll just grump and keep on going. I find it odd because: 1) It's rare that I let a game frustrate me that much. 2)If it happens, then I walk away form the game for a bit before reattempting whatever it was that was frustrating with a fresh attitude and resolve.
i yell at my games a lot, or grump at them, but its meaningless. i just like talking to my games sometimes. perfectly normal, healthy behaviour i know
My life revolves around video games and literally training myself on them as often as I can. Why? Because it allows me to escape from the real world and because I never have and I highly doubt I ever will find another hobby I enjoy like video games. Even if I get frusterated I don't stop. I don't play just for fun (even if that is a major part of it). I'm hardcore and play to win. I'm pretty much a young version of Jeremy from Pure Pwnage. video games make me sad cos it makes me think of all my friends from lsmsa. they were all lil video game nerds cept me. LOL. i felt left out.. paul plays like..oblivion and shit. its kinda fun to watch sometimes. for a lil while.
The only games I'm really into are NHL and Guitar Hero 2. And I only really ever play them with other people.
Hey I'm a chick. I love video games & I'm just like that. Maybe you just need that frame of mind to understand, that after so long of playing & almost to the end, but something happens, you get frustrated.
I play Guitar Hero 2 and Call of Duty's 2 &3. It gets frustrating when you don't get something right. I've watched my boyfriend chuck a controller through a window playing Oblivion. Ahahaha. It's awesome. I laugh at him and he's like "You do it, then. Ms. Smart ass." He's so cute when he's mad.
i used to hang out (and date a couple) with gamers. i was "hardcore" cause I stayed all night at the lans haha. i dont remember them ever getting mad, unless I started trying to fuck up their computer (i had to entertain myself somehow..). it is their interest, and I love them (as friends) so I respect that they get so into them.
I get pretty into video games when I play them, so I can't honestly blame the guys you're talking about. It can be pretty frustrating sometimes!
oh JESUS. I haaaate video games. Unless we're talking original nintendo, duckhunt/mario brothers etc.. Video games are such a waste of time/life.
haha.. i didnt say that actually, they are fun as long as i'm not the only non-gamer there.. luckily my best friend used to go to them all night too, so we'd just act crazy or go for drives to random places...

Well I'm a girl and I love video games for one, and I can definitely get pretty worked up over them. But, I must say my brother and other friends which are boys definitely get a lot more upset about loosing than I do. Idk, I guess I'm just a passive person, never really did get to upset about loosing stuff. But anyways I do know what your referring to. Oh well. Boys will be boys
