Since Dec. 16 up until today, it has allowed me to talk to my gf 69 days for a total of 4305 minutes or 71.75 hours...or 62 minutes a day (I am a stat dork). We have seen each other twice during this period, from Dec. 26 - Jan. 15 and March 27 - April 16. Other than that, it has been long distance. Even so, we have talked to each other, usually, 5-6 times a week, sometimes, though rarely, 7 times a week. Even with the time distance we have managed to keep in touch quite a bit!!!! Anyone else thankful for skype? Post it here .
Unlimited local and long distance and often international for what? 40 a month? I don't need it cause my cell but otherwise I might had looked into that.
at first i thought that "skype" was the new "cool" spelling for skip yeah i know nothing about phones...bloody bastard phones
oh i'd rather talk to someone than type up long ass words..but in essance ...in the actuality....in.. fuck it...lets go talk on the phone theys expensive sir...
what? It is free, at least if it is computer to computer. Otherwise I would have never made this post! But 72 hours (not including entries I may have accidently deleted) to call my gf in France/England is amazing for no $$! Almost every possible day we have been away since like Nov., we have talked. I think since Dec. 15 it has allowed us to talk something like 69 out of 95 possible days we were apart. On some of those days we did use a cell, cause for a lot of those 26 days one of us did not have access to internet or skype. That is why it is amazing. I still use my cell to call home in CT however, skype does not cover landlines, though I used to be able to do that for free too. I know I bitch about call quality, but in the end, I can't bitch about all the minutes I have had to listen to her lovely voice.
well some of us don't have that.........i mean up here in canada if we wish to make calls that aren't tin can to tin can we pay for it
I'm not familiar with this form of communication (skype)... what is it? Drawbacks? I'll google for info... Edit- okay- internet calls. Is this a legitimate alternative to land lines?
Ever heard of JahJah? It's free phone to phone through the internet (at least for a trial period). Skype is great though. It's a shitter that I can't stand phones.
i love skype. i used to use it to talk to my (then) boyfriend i was in a long distance relationship with. its a lot easier to get through the distance when you have time (and dont have to pay at all) to hear their voice. and you can use it to im too, which is nice, cause i'm not a phone person. i hate how sometimes the connection is messy, but its better than using aim. i especially like how if the other person gets kicked off for a minute, you can still send them messages and it will actually get to them when they get back on. saves me from cursing too much
