I have heard from plenty of people that Australia is the best and from few that its terrible.

I had this one man and he claimed that he visited Brisbane and he says everyone is stuckup and he also claims that queen st. is dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II.

I would like to remind you all and advise you all about us, Sydney is very, very good it's wonderful but if you move there try your hardest to live in the east of north, because I use to livfe in a suburb called Woolahra which was right next to paddington, the people there are stuckup and yes the crimes are a tad heavy but I wouldn't worry, most people would realise if you went or live in sydney that you have to be very smart but not in a crime sense but because there are certain people you have to deal with and it's annoying.

Melbourne, I know many people will disagree but I can't see Melbourne as a well main city because it's starting to fall back and well where are the landmarks also when I went down to Melbourne recently it wasn't nice because when I was walking in town at night I saw a few teenagers around like hobo's I also like the station dedicated to lawyers it also has teh worse crime rate in australia.

Brisbane, Brisbane people can be stuck up but most stuck ups aren't arrigant once when I was in George st. on my way to my branch I saw a woman that was stuck up and I called out to her and I said, "I'm rich too" and she laughed I did that in Sydney and she inverted her direction, Brisbane is very fast growing and has a monument but unfortunatly most of the world doesn't recognise it such as America even though we have more population then 35 of their cities.

Perth, Perth is well big but it seems a bit pointless in my point of view because they aren't supporting many other cities but it is a nice place and it is bordering the high populated areas.

Adelaide, The phrase I always use for Adelaide is," Who wants to go/live in Adelaide." I am sorry but Adelaide is worthless I think they should of split south australia and share it with victoria and western Australia.

Gold Coast/Coolangatta, Very nice place I wouldn't plan to live there but its a must go place its a good place to visit the beaches are nice, it has the museums, amusement parks and Q1 our tallest tower at 80 storeys even taller then centre point/sydney tower.

Canberra, My comment is, "They should change the capital to Sydney or possibly Melbourne but Brisbane is not appropriate to be the capital yet" but the suburbs are nice but not my ideal place.

Hobart, Again, who'd want to live in Tasmania all Hobart has is a 20 storey hotel and well its not apealing to me none of it is.

Townsville, It's alright to visit but maybe not for too long

Darwin, Don't visit there who would like to visit in the middle of no where.

Take my advise on what I just said because I would find it true.

What seems so wierd is that what they believed in 1835 was that Sydney and Brisbane would both be the largest cities becuase Melbourne was a commonwealth based not an independant based city but with the gold rush and the port.

Thanks for your judgements oh mighty one. Next time just say "sydney yay, everywhere else boo". Obviously the people who live in these places ARE happy and think the location has something to offer, or else they'd not be there.

At best you ramblings sound like hearsay rubbish.

    Melbourne

if any are going to stay in Melbourne, the South east suburbs are best.

i am not downplaying other suburbs but in terms of less problems, the south east is better.

i like brisbane coz of the laid back-ness of it.

even in the city its not so BUSY BUSY NOISY BUSY
its busy but people are still polite.

not like sydney where you better not bump into someone coz you will get your head ripped off.

brisbane is a beautiful city. unfortunatly we are being governed by dickwads who would rather build a nicer building than face the fact that we have hardly any water left.
    *grumbles about government*

i guess the government we had isnt as bad as it can get.
    its just... annoying.

There are pros and cons for all states. I lived the first part of my life in Melbourne so i'm a little biased there, the second in Brissie. I also have rellies in Sydney.

Melbourne is the culture capital of Oz and has the best theatres, restaurants and cafes around. There is always something to do and there is no clear class divide on the whole. It's bloody flat though lol

Brisbane is very hilly, hot and humid all year round and hasn't had a cold winter in about 4 years. Ideal weather would be Brisbane's winters and Melbourne summers. The north side of Brisbane, where i live, is a perfect position. It's one hour from the north coast (Sunshine Coast), one hour from the south coast (Gold Coast), 15 minutes to the city and similar to the country. It's great that everything you want is only an hour away.

Sydney is not my cup of tea. The Harbour is pretty but there is a clear divide as far as the east and west suburbs are concerned. Meaning, the rich bitch folks live in their mansions in the east and would never set foot in the westie, the west suburbs are termed as the poorer and less financially prosperous. Sydney is the one place where these to class groups would rarely meet, unlike Melbourne.

Tassie is a great little getaway, as is Adelaide and Perth is beautiful in winter (summer is too bloody hot).

As i said, there are good and not so good points for all corners of our country. I could live everywhere except Sydney, i have always found it dull and lifeless. But that's me.

Oh absolutely. Just as they SHOULD HAVE explained in school that "should of" is not English.

If you are going to down my town, at least do it grammatically.

    :)

People in Brisbane are arrogant?? WTF - you are a wanker! What makes people in Brisbane so arrogant? I don't get how you can tell someone is arrogant by looking at them anyway?

And anyway, you left the Sunshine Coast off your list....whats that about? I would be interested to hear your opinions on the area though.
