i haven't spent a whole lot of time on this board lately, but any time i have is always in this forum. tonight i noticed a bunch of pregnancy tickers and wonder how many of us are there??

i'm 26 weeks today, due august 2 :) and this is my first one.

next question - who's trying to get some baby crafts done before their baby gets here? i've just started working on some - i'm making some cloth wipes, burp rags and bibs on the few rainy days that we've been getting lately. plus i'm working on a crocheted blanket when my wonderful pregnancy induced carpal tunnel is at a minimum. i'm also working on some knitted stuff, i have a hat done and have started another.

i'm also working on getting an etsy shop up and going, and maybe eventually get my website going again. it's been a loooong time since i've had the time to manage a website or any online sales, but my hope is that i can make enough to allow me to go to part time when the baby gets here. i've wanted to do this for a while, and figure this is the perfect opportunity.

i have an 8 month old. While pregnant I sewed him AIO diapers, bibs, made him a couple blankets and crochet him a stuffed animal. I made breast pads for myself.

how much did you like the diapers that you made? i thought about that, even went as far as to pick out a pattern, but i don't know. i don't know that i trust my sewing skills enough to contain something like that, haha. especially since i've never made them before.

They were actually really easy! I still have the link if you are interested. I changed a few things, like I added a waterproof plastic liner (a cut up bargin bin shower curtain) and I moved the elastic to the inside of the diaper. I could do the actual sewing of one in about 10 minutes... probably half hour per diaper including tracing, cutting, pinning and sewing.

Im preggers too. I havn't really made anything specific yet. I will stitch up a new baby carrier. We just found out today that were expecting a boy. The 3rd boy in a row. I thought for sure this was a girl. First time in 5 guesses that i have been wrong. Everything i have been working on lately has been girly.

I'm not pregnant but I have lots of friends who are or have babies, so I usually make each baby a little quilt when they are born with lots of colors. and of course the tie dyed onesie is always fun :)

I'm pregnant, too....lately my sewing machine has been tucked away along with all my other crafty stuff. I am plannin on making this baby a crochet blankie just like I did for Leane over the summer. But I wanna make a new one for Leane, first, since the one I made her was stolen by her first dayhome lady (grrrrrr).
Now that school is coming to a close and I'm going to only be in school for half the summer, I'll have all of August to sit at home on me bum and make new stuff for the baby.

Yay to all the new kiddos! I am 30 weeks already! Woo-hoo! I am trying to make as many hats and scarves and tams, etc. So when the fall comes i can stock my shop and not have to worry about not having enough time to do everything!
I have to make my little man something special from mommy! Perhaps a nice cozy blankie and a hat/bootie set! I can't wait for him, but I have so much to do before he arrives :)

awesome, critter, i'm just a week or so behind you :)

does anyone have a knitted baby blanket pattern that they like that i could find online? i decided i didn't like the crocheted one i was working on, and knitting has been easier for me when my fingers get a little sore.

I've made several using the basic "dishcloth" pattern, bulky weight yarn double stranded and size 10 needles. You know the pattern -

cast on 3 stitches. knit 1, YO, knit 2. Knit 1, YO, knit 3... etc. until I hit 100 stitches, then K2Tog, YO, knit rest of the row. Ad nauseum until you have 3 stitches left then bind off.

Easy as pie, and it looks nice when done.

heehee, now that we got to find out that we're having a boy I've gone a little baby crazy. Buying all kindsa clothes and bought a bunch of yarn to start making blankies. I got really mad the other day though...I bought all the yarn the pattern called for, but I can't get past row 4. figures, after I rechecked the pattern, the comments from other people were that they couldn't get past it either. But it was such a beautiful blankie!

I just love this one, too...changed up the colors a little...using a softer varigated one and white instead of purple, but it's still cute!
