Good question....I know that there are minute traces of THC in industrial hemp. Hemp fabric and clothes (check w/your local government or govt. of country you will bring items into) Food is another story. It depends on what type of food. Is it just a hemp cookie w/out Cannabis or is it hemp wine, for example. Every country has rules on what one can bring back (some of which have age requirements, for alcohol). What country are you planning to bring these items into? The United States for example is very uptight about hemp. It is illegal to grow hemp in the US (idiots) therefore don't bring any hemp seeds into the US.
i guess it really depends where youare from. many times i have flown from amsterdam back to atlanta in the US with space cake, but i eat it on the plane because i hate flying! what i do it i wrap it in selophane and spray the outside of the selophane with deoderant or i rub lotion on it so the smell is dissoriented. this can work for you but i warn you, after i landed in the US they automatically make you go through the tests if you fly from other countries and the doggs barked at me. i just told them that i had broughten a lunch from amsterdam on the plane and they let me go after a search. best of luck
So heres the deal. Hemp clothing, hemp oil, and other non THC containing hemp products are no problem. It is legal in the USA, the only thing is, if youre buying it abroad, you're supposed to declare it on your customs form. Spacecakes, bonbons, and any other THC containing product obviously would be illegal, and foolish to even think about bringing back. it was funny, this one customs guy said every day they know what flavor spacecakes are available since they confiscate so many of them. I guess everyone thinks that they were the only ones with that idea. I THINK I remember that you can import $500.00 without paying duty, but youre still supposed to declare it even if it doesn't add up to 500 bucks. Agricultural products, such as raw fruits and vegetables, animal products, and uncooked or unlabeled foodstuff's will all get confiscated almost certainly. They have a cute little Beagle in a green jacket that is amazing to watch work. He is so good at his job, adn he isnt even really looking for drugs, he's looking for agricultural stuff.
Just as an afterthought, why would you buy alot of hemp stuff in Amsterdam, when you can easily buy it in the USA for a much cheaper price? I mean I can see maybe buying 1 hemp shirt as a memento or something, but Im not sure I can think of any other motivation to do this. Keep in mind that the exchange rate does not work in your favor if your from the USA. I havent checked recently, but at last look it was like us $1.30 to each Euro. Prices arent adjusted off either. So everything is going to cost quite a bit more for you. That .30 cents doesnt sound like much, but it adds up quickly.
