USA in Decline would seem to number amongst those Americans who are afraid of their fellow human beings. Its sad when someone starts slagging people off instead of debating the issues, but the main thing that I see is how USA in Decline has nailed his flag to the mast of an extremely right wing ship. Its a shame really because that isnt patriotism thats fear which causes this and
often leads to the most unamerican sentiments such as are usually expressed by people who want the right to carry guns

the UK home office brought in legislation prior to its gun laws (the gun laws were not forseen at the time as they arose out of a case which shocked britain so much that as a reaction all handguns were banned,) which effectively overturned about 50% of all britains criminal laws and reclassified certain laws and the way in which figures were calculated.

If you bother to read these for yourself instead of talking out of your arse on statistics that youy read on some wankers site who is anti gun law, you should actually research and find out the exact reason why they say they cannot calculate the two (pre, and post 1998) on the same scale, because all our laws were restated under the criminal justice act and reclassified so that certain offences, such as rape, where the offender was in possession of a weapon, used to be recorded as rape with malice, but now is recorded both as rape and as a weapons offence

bear in mind this is number of arrests for weapons not just guns
This has included such things as knives, keys, brick, etc etc etc and may not have been primarily a weapons offence but as part of a search of property and/or another offence
