I've read the sticky post and i think i get the gist of what this forum is all about, so let's get to it! My name is Kayleigh, I live in Crawley and I'm going to university in September to study media production down in Chichester. I play guitar, but nowhere near as much as i would like to. I waste most of my time on the internet, even if there's nothing to do i will still surf. I think i have internet addiction because whenever i get a spare moment i'm online. I work for Lush Cosmetics as a sales assistant, it's a job i really enjoy because you come home smelling lovely and you are working with 100% natural ingredients. We also have a strong policy on animal testing. Only thing i don't enjoy is the companies slight obsession with profit. I'm quite diffrent from most people my age, I listen to old music most of the time and most people think i'm wierd because of it, It used to really bother me but now i don't give a toss. I've met torvill and Dean, Pete Burns and David Cassidy (see sig photo) and Paul McCartney nodded at me during the Sgt Peppers set at Live 8 which was cool that's all i can think of saying for the moment, so fire away *sips some green tea*
Hello Kayleigh from Crawley, do you find the incredibly strong sickly sweet smell of Lush makes it hard to work there? When there's a Lush store, I can smell it round the corner, and I generally can't last more than five minutes in one before feeling ill....
Hey Kayleigh! I love lush and I love Christopher Dean! I really do have the most random crushes!!! You're soo lucky!!!!!
The first couple of Days you work there the smell is really overpowering, but after a while you (and your nostrils!) get used to it. And now i never notice it, unless we get a new product then thats all i can smell for about a week! I notice it a couple of hours after my shift, or on my days off, the smell usually comes from my bag because i put my stinky apron in there
That's a toughie, because i've only really just started! I guess I love the feel of it in my hands. It makes me feel powerful, and I look like a rockstar when I'm holding/playing it I only know a couple of chords but it's great fun listening to the sound when i strike them (I play electric) It gives me a great thrill
I chose Chichester uni because it wasn't too far away from home and I love the campus down there. It's so small and there is a lovely sense of community Plus it's only 5 minutes away from Selsey which is a lovely place in the summer
Hehe! I don't blame you, he is rather good looking! He was very sweet and charismatic. I was only 7 at the time but they were both great!
Nope! I'm doing Media with Media Studies, so i suppose that would involve a lot of essay writing, studying etc. I'm quite good at English, but my grammar is appauling. I never understood all those funny dots and dashes that have to go inbetween words
mmm, I don't know. When I was younger i wanted to be An Astronaut, then Prime minister, then a singer, then an actress.. My ultimate dream would be to work on the Doctor Who production team
David Tennant hands down. Eccleston was fantastic but his doctor tended to brood on the past quite a lot. Whereas Tennant burst onto our screens with such exitement and energy. He brings a lot of himself to the Doctor's character and i just love his slightly geeky eccentricity. Oh yeah and he looks rather nice too Am I sounding like a DT fangirl yet? lol
Yes you are  I do like Tennant's eccentricity, and I think he makes a good doctor, but there's just something about him that doesn't work as well as it could do. I liked the darkness Eccleston brought to the character. Also his doctor didn't know everything and mysteries often puzzled him. That worked well with Captain Jack in it too, and they bounced off each other while solving problems. Tennant's doctor is a one man team though. He can do anything and he knows everything. Nothing surprises him, he's smarmy in the face of universal destruction. While that's cool every now and again, you just don't get the sense that he could fail, that this could be a really dangerous situation. You're always confident he'll click his fingers and everything will be deus ex machina....
You've braught up some very valid points Peace-Phoenix. Apparently captain Jack is due to come back in the new series, so it will be intresting to see how Tennant's doctor reacts to him
All very true And it has the added attraction of ... me!:stunned: What makes you happy? And what makes you sad?
