here ya go: Well I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do ya? Well it goes like this : The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... Well your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya And she tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair But from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... (Yeah but) Baby I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor, (You know) I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch and love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... Well there was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show that to me do ya But remember when I moved in you And the holy dove was moving too And every breath you drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... [Instrumental] Maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya It's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah… Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelu... Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah... Hallelujah…Hallelllllllllllllllllll

It doesn't effect me like it used to, but "Don't Speak" by No Doubt used to make me feel really really sad. Also, "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman can be pretty depressing I remember we were driving, driving in your car the speed so fast I felt like I was drunk city lights lay out before us and your arm felt nice wrapped round my shoulder and I had a feeling that I belonged and I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone
Lover I don't have to love/Waste of Paint/whole Letting out the Happiness by BRIGHT EYES Hurt by NIN ,the Johnny Cash Version Street Spirit by RADIOHEAD Dumb/Man who sold the world by NIRVANA Mariah Carey's Version of Without You(no,not really )
Thanks very much, yovo! We were thinking of the same thing after all, and you are right, it is a moving song. I agree.
My saddest song pics are: Joni Mitchell: "River" (Note: The song is on her album "Blue" which to me is one of the most emotional albums arranged to this date... check it out!!!) James Taylor: "Fire & Rain" Simon & Garfunkel: "Sounds of Silence" & "America" REM: "Everybody Hurts" ERic Clapton: "Tears in Heaven" Todd Rundgren: "It wouldn't have made any difference"
the scientist by cold play makes me cry like hell. i lvoe it but hate it. and creep by radiohead (he's like.. talking about me).. happiness is a warm gun is pretty but not sad i suppose.. and unchained melody by sarah mc lachlan. thats the only song ive heard from her and its so beautiful.
"One Song Glory" is a tough one too. One of those songs that really give you pins and needles when you first hear it. Poor Johnny Larson.
Yes, that is a beautiful song! I don't have the Pulse album, but the song is called Coming Back to Life and it's taken from the Division Bell album.
I'm making a 2 CD's for a friend... one of happy/love songs and another of sad/weepy stuff. This thread really helped alot, thanks all! I agree with many said already and won't reiterate those. In my quest was sticking with mostly "older" material and will add a few not mentioned: Carpenters - Rainy Days and Mondays Carol King - So Far Away Eagles - Desparado Harry Chapin - Cats in the Cradle Gilbert O'sullivan - Alone Again Naturally James Taylor - Long Ago and Far Away Simon and Garfunkle - Time it was King Crimson - Talk to the Wind Billy Joel - And So It Goes Another really good one: Sarah McLauchlin - When She Loved Me (Toy Story 2) (I best make sure no one else is in the room for this scene in the movie) ~7
I think it should be, The Offspring is the band. "Gone Away" is the song title. If you haven't heard it, download it, and tell me what you think. The lyrics are below, but the way this guy from the band sings, just his voice is sad in this song, very well done for a sad song. Maybe in another life I could find you there Pulled away before your time I can't deal it's so unfair And it feels And it feels like Heaven's so far away And it feels Yeah it feels like The world has grown cold Now that you've gone away Leaving flowers on your grave Show that I still care But black roses and Hail Mary's Can't bring back what's taken from me I reach to the sky And call out your name And if I could trade I would And it feels And it feels like Heaven's so far away And it stings Yeah it stings now The world is so cold Now that you've gone away
