anyone who answers with the winners name after the race is over has to be counted as dodgy so - before it begins who did you back?

    I had
Clan Royal £1 win at 33/1
cloudy bays £1 win at 100/1
gallant approach £1 win at 33/1
point barrow £1 win at 9/1

well I have to say I hope your horse dont win else my money is down the pan ha ha ha
Not many horses lately have that happen. they used to shoot about 10 each race until about 1975 then they made the course more friendly until today perhaps one every three grandnationals gets stiffed

I didn't back anyone. But I earned £42 by showing people how to fill in the betting slips at a local Ladbrokes :) Good atmosphere there, but I'm shattered now like!

    Most folk were leaning toward...

Hedgehunter, Eurotrek, Thisthatandtother, Numbersixvalverde, Clan Royal, Slim Pickings, Bewley's Berry, Joe's Edge and Jack something.

I don't think I saw any bets for Silver Birch.

I put a bet on the bookies to win
£10,000 I bet at 9/47 that the overall the bookmakers would win more than the punters
so for every £47 I invested I would win £9
still cant work out how much i won i think its 2000 or 200

I didn't place a real bet, but we had a sweepstake at work.

I had Hedgehunter, Gallant Approach and Silver Birch

    I R THE WIN!

Apparently a bookmaker who lives next door to the winning trainer had been given a tip that silver birch would win, I recon it was all a complete fiddle and I want my money back !

    urgh.
    horseracing is vile.
id rather they were just let into the woods to live as wild animals in nature.
    how they're SUPPOSED to live.
i drove past a field once,
with woods around the back of it,
    it was in the South-East,
& i could see several wild horses.
    they were so beautiful.
    so pure.
