A hippie is one who has a virus to spread, and that virus is harmony.
It can show in speeches, in paintings and in song, but it can also show in a simple smile.

Oh, I like that, but of course since my wife and I are also Taoists, it's all about balance and harmony to us! For us a true hippie is one who is in perfect balance with himself and the universe, never striving but always being and being true to himself.

I also like the H.I.P.P.I.E. acronym that was spelled out previously alot .. but it makes me think of Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kuryakan (I'm dating myself here) and the old Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV show. Oh no... does that make me the Man from H.I.P.P.I.E. ??? (and all of the young hippies, who weren't born then all collectively go "huh??")

being at peace with yourself, & no matter what the situation, inflicting peace on others. mellowness. showing love. standing up for what's right. protesting against wars. having faith in yourself, & those around you. being as good a person as you can possibly be. anarchy, peace, equality & love.
