    What are your opinions?

I think it's a great idea. Why in the world would you want to import another country's problem? I see it the same way as not letting in someone that has tuberculosis, the bubonic plague, and E. Coli. All they'll do is cost the Australian tax payers' (who have a socialist medical system) tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars (per immigrant) for an immigrant who will do nothing for Australia but eventually die of HIV/ AIDs.

theres been a rise in hiv infections in australia recently, i wonder why? commonsense and unbiased reasoning is good way to find the answer. the end of the roman empire wasn't brought about purely by war/invasion but rather disease, the remnants of the byzantine empire was brought down by a plague. the australians have been busy wrecking their country, whats a little bit of hiv?

I've always wondered why AIDS/HIV wasn't handled as an epidemic when it first hit. Perhaps some felt it was filtering out the unwanted elements in the population. But the way it was handled in the US in the beginning did nothing to mitigate it's eventual worldwide spread. The initial response to it's outbreak here in the states only did one thing, it ostracized and undervalued the lives of those that were presently infected and those populations that were later affected.
