Has anyone ever heard of Chimaira? I just discovered them they are amazinggg! My favorite song of thiers would have to be "pure hatred" the bass is just awesome. The Impossibility Of Reason is without a doubt the best CD! Just thought I would share...
Yeah, I've heard some of their stuff. I know some people who like it. I don't dig them at all, really. Just another alternative metal band.
I've listened to Chimaira for a few years now they are a really good band. Although, i don't like their new album as much as a few of their older one's. The Impossibility Of Reason is probably my favorite cd of theirs, so i have to agree with you on that one.
I saw them live with Killswitch and Dragonforce. They were fuckin insane. I haven't heard much of the studio stuff though.
Well, I certainly didn't ever think I'd be reading THAT question! Slightly more mainstream to most of the Metal I'm into, and fitting into the genre 'Metalcore', I find them quite interesting with their Fear Factory-esque futuristic keyboard additions and Andols Herrick, an amazing drummer. They stnd out amongst other Metalcore acts! I have 'The Impossibility of Reason', 'A Pass Out of Existence' and their self-titled album and have to say there are many decent songs by them. 'Dead Inside' has gotta be my favourite song though.
Imposibility of reason is definitely worth a listen once in a while. But they are a bit samey. And the drummer is a complete right-wing wankface.
yeah i saw them in concert with dragon force(they fucking suck) and killswitch engage. some of their songs are really good i think. my fav song of theirs is army of me, from the freddy vs. jason soundtrack
Chimaira kick fucking heavy metal ass they are fast and have some of the coolest riffs ive ever heard who ever has not listend to chimaira do your self a favor and listen to save ourselfs and nothing remains on the self titeld album CHIMAIRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, they are nu-metal hardcore as fuck... But I've seen them 8 times nonetheless. I live in Cleveland, so they're here all the time. And it's a show worth seeing, even if they have teen angst lyrics like, "Fuck your powertrip" and "I hate everyone". It's just a good brutal pit. They have a pretty damn good drummer. During the '04 Spring Jager tour, the pit BROKE THE BARRIER and while it was getting fixed, he just busted out a ten minute crazy drum solo. And for being a metalcore guy, I kinda dig Mark's voice.
I wanted to see em but i dont like dragonforce or kse really. Nothing Remains is good, as is Resurrection, Army of Me, and Salvation.
its funny because i used to hate metal music, i did listen to a little bit of rock that came on the radio but thats it and i would alway listen to rap, thats it really. ever since i started going to heavy metal concerts, which iv seen almost every new rock band out i really liked it all.and i think thats all music in general, whenever you listen to it long enough you really start to like it. but its somthing about alot of metal bands that i love, i guess its just way more deep than any rap song could compare to me. it gets my adrenaline going, also when im at concerts. i guess i just love the feeling i get. haha no more ranting bye..
Bjork. She kills swans and wears their carcasses, after bathing in their blood. She is METAL AS FUCK, MAN. Go czech her out RIGHT NOW.
