I've been a vegetarian for about 6 months and i really want to go vegan except as ridiculous as this sounds i cant give up icecream. do you guys know of any vegan brands that taste like the real thing?
soy dream and rice dream are really pretty good. Hmmm... I'm going to get off this library computer right now and go eat some!!!
Tofutti Cuties are reeeeaaally good. They're little dairy free ice cream sandwiches.. YUM! Soy dream is really good too.
"So Good" vanilla is Dlishus! it's a lot smoother than milk icecream and you can eat the whole tub without getting a clogged throat!!! or... so i've heard.....
My brother has a dairy intolerance, he gets Swedish Glace soya ice cream. Had it myself and it's good. Comes in vanilla, chocolate and apparently other flavours.
Take a banana ~ slice it up ~ freeze it overnight. Take it out and process in the food processer for about 30 seconds,,, throw in other frozen fruit. Something about the frozen banana purreed ,,it gets creamy,,just like ice cream! You can't make it ahead though! My fav is frozen stawberries & bananas purred and a little chocolate drizzled over the top ~ yum!
Hey thanks for all the suggestions guys! I went to this organic/ health food market today and i saw a bunch of the brand names you guys mentioned so i'm gonna try a few.
name all the flavors you can think of- they'll tide me over till i can get to the store and buy the shelf out
Soy Dream makes good chocolate...and I don't even like chocolate ice cream...' And Toffuti Cuties are awesome! Esp the Mint Chocolate Chip ones
