So are we about to trust him w/our childrens education again?

    I think not.

I dont care about vietnam, gay marriage, or even on the iraq war(seeing that the candidates positions are basically the same) in the upcoming election.

What i'm starting to focus on more is the REAL issues like education healthcare and the environment.

And on these bush has been phenomenally incompetent.

At this point, I'd say that any parent with any sense would pull their child out of ALL state-sponsored education programs and homeschool. JMO.

i agree. after watching the hell that my little brother and sister went through, i'm just not going to put my daughter through that. either i will find her a good private school i like, or i will put off becoming a nurse a while longer. it's just freaking awful.

It's a good theory, but didn't work. Not enough federal money went to back the plans.

Failure... just look at the kids on this board who can't spell and claim it doesn't matter because "they are not being graded on it."

Willow I've been telling my boyfriend that we are going to homeschool as well when we have children. But private school isn't always better. I went to one and it sucked big time. We weren't even allowed to read the classics. So you even have to be careful with those. I learned more, especially about people and acceptance and learning a different point of view, from public school.
