hey! is anyone going to all good? my pops just got the tickets a week ago and i am soooo excited! this will be my first festival everrr! i can;t wait to see every single band that's on the lineup. it sounds really great. although i wish string cheese would play..=( or the disco biscuits..=/ but oh well. it would be so neat if one of them got on there... i'm really anxious to know when they are going to put out more bands on the lineup..? when do you think this will happen?? alright. peace.
I'll be there! Allgood has been awesome the past 2 summers. Disco Buscuit's show was extrodinary last year though, thats why im excited sound tribe is playin late night!!!! of all the festies ive been to, i always miss yonder, so im excited to see them too! Cheese did just announce their summer tour though... 3 nights in new york if youd like to see them on the east coast!
This looks like a great lineup, it's a bit of a haul from Florida, but it may be worth it. We just did Wannee here in Florida, so we may be able to save up enough by July (bonaroo's too soon and we're too broke) I'm a little nervous about law enforcement in West Virginia though, I've heard horror stories about a big raid at a rainbow gathering up there. Has anyone been to Allgood? I know common sense says don't be stupid and you won't get busted, but in WV do they raid your campsite while you're simply partaking??? Just wondering if it's ALL good.
Meg- good and bad news about allgood. the good- i see maybe one or two cops the whole weekend when im in the grounds and camping and jammin to the music. the bad- after you cross into the virginia borderson the drive over, cops are just waiting for you to fuck up. dont speed, dont let them seee ya do anything. but once youre in the couple hour carline waiting to get in, its alllllll gooooood
Being from Western MD right on the WV border and being 30 minutes away from both venues known to hold All Good, I figured I'd add my few cents... 1) West Virginia cops are AWESOME!! And to the person about them raiding your campsite. In my time I have never seen a single UNIFORM inside the gates. (excluding serious injury, or selling fake tix or shit like that) I have had many a run in with them and they are ligit. Now that does not include possible undercovers. (So don't sell Yak to Frat boys... IMHO) Maryland cops blow so stay off of Interstate 68 or 70 (until in WV)!!! As someone has said VA cops blow. Thats cause VA is a commonwealth state and they suck. I have personally shot the shit with WV cops outside Trips farm while puffing. Now don't get me wrong there are pricks everywhere. So, be cool and STAY OUTTA MD!! 2) Having made it to every All-Good save last year I would agree that if a person had to ONLY attend one fest this year, they would be wise to make it this one. And to the OP, congradulations...you will enjoy yourself profusely!! 3) Walther productions have done a great job. Tim Walther is a hella good guy and I shall never forget him proping the side door ajar so we could jam to Keller for free outside the State Theatre in Falls Church. Nothing beats seeing a promoter running around chilling with the fans. So OP when you go be sure to look for him and give a shout out!! 4) Rock on and try to make it to NY for GOTVs. Hopefully I'll make it this year. 5) STS9...FTW
I went to the All Good when it was held at Wilmer's Park...good times! I dunno about it all now, it seems like it's gotten SO big! I've been to plenty of Walther Productions shows back in the day, but it feels like a scam to charge $119 for little kids over 3. That being said, I have 4 kids, and my husband and I will be heading to Good stock in WV the next week. Kids are FREE! I will miss rat dog and darkstar, but I'll catch em this summer when they play Dewey Beach (I'm LOCAL )
^^Those are some very good points. Being as I have no kids, thats an aspect I did not address. That kinda sucks, kids should be free past 3 yrs old !
I've never seen cops inside the gate. At all. Ever. Haven't heard of anyone's campsite being raided either. I'm going again this year! I absolutely can't wait!!
