If you've never heard of the gnostic gospels, here you go.

As a Christian, are your views open to being changed by something like this?

If you are not Crhistian, would something like this persuade you to take on a more Christian-like view?

Yes! While they may not all be understandable at this point, their body of knowlege will forever place Catholic/Orthodox or "Fundamentalist" Christianity on notice that maybe they are not as smugly secure as before. And I personally think they will ultimately forge a link between the three Abrahamic, and montheisitic (NO "trintity"---which word is in NO Bible), faiths of Judaism, (Gnostic) Christianity, and Islam.

Absolutely and from what can be gathered it seems like the actual teachings of Christ are here while the Bible just prattles on about morals
for some reason it feels closer and even as a kid I had many of these ideas before reading them as strange as that sounds it's true
The gnostic elements in The Last Temptation of Christ or even that novel/movie although not about Christ but mans struggle despite that seems much closer, feels so
The other side I wonder though is it just the same old bullshit
did the Vatican release it for their own reasons and behind it all in some next step? try to snag a few more into the brainwash?face it, they are the power so I don't know and their seems to be so many gnostic ideals going on right now in new novels and other works it makes one suspicious. After all who really decides what we see?
but like with any religion it's all faith
makes Jesus seem clearly more a Buddha which I think is true
and the mention of Forefather and not Father over rides the psycho of the OT
    cool post
    peace and God bless you
    Andrew
