I'm from PA... I just moved here bout 2 years ago... after living in the city and moving to a small town, it's pretty hard... but I met some really cool people here... I can't say i completely hate it... it does suck at times... but just thankful I'm living and gotta roof over my head and a computer to get on hippy.com lol...
i dont see anything wrong living in PA whatsoever. its beautiful here. i grew up here and am still currently living here....even though im moving to South Carolina soon. i really am gonna miss this place alot. i
It sucks to hold Maryland in place. If it stopped sucking, Maryland would slip free, float down the Chesapeake and out into the Atlantic Ocean. So, um, thanks for holding a really shitty state in place, huh?
PA has its ups and down, every state does, Pennsylvania people just seem to complain about the state more(IMO) I love PA for what its given me. Its chill here, but....Other states need seen as well, Coming from a head stuck in Hershey(tourist town PA). Look to the positive, you will find the joy in everything. only thing that sucks I think is the 6up in chocolatetown, Theyre the worst!!!!!!! Thats my only qualm!! Anyways Keep it real Kidz -derek
Hey All, I live in the Philly suburbs and work in Bryn Mawr. My work doesn't drug test (its very cool and liberal that way). Anyway - I am lookingfor friends that enjoy herb and support its legalization. Last time I smoked was in Amsterdam, a few months ago, and before that in Vancouver. Both places are basically completely open to pot smoking. I would like to have lunch someday with others on this forum, who live in my area. I am married, and not looking for any romance, just cool friends with like minded views on the bullshit pot prohibition. Let me know if anyone is interested in meeting up for lunch anywhere between Bryn Mawr and Exton. -Needbud
that's just the dumbest stuff ive ever heard... its not our fault your lonely and for some reason nobody wants to be your friend!
I don't think Pa's that bad as some say. IMHO, it's beautiful with woods and mountains, especially moving northwards. It's generally nice, not far from the Ocean, NYC and Canada You can find some cool folks down there too.
I was born and raised in PA. I now live in Maryland just south of the border and soon to be living in PA just north of the border. Anyway...I was born in Roaring Springs and was raised in a little valley full of townships very close to Lake Raystown. That area has some of the most beautiful scenery I've had the pleasure of viewing. Outdoor activities out the wazoo, friendly neighbors, small town living...it's home and will forever be so.
I love Pennsylvania. Not that I would want to stay here for the rest of my life, but here we experience all four seasons deeply and vibrantly... many people never do. And if you complain there are no (such an absolute) cool people in PA... just look harder. I've not travelled far -- just all of New England and down to Florida -- but I have a feeling a place like this is where I'll spend the rest of my life.
I think that whether one does or does not like a particular place has a lot to do with their experiences there; as well as their perception of the things going on around them that will allow them to determine whether a given geographical location sucks or not. As well, one's mindset in general has a lot to do with how they interpret places and things. Personally, I was born in Philadelphia, and spent the first six years of my life just outside of Philadelphia; in a small suburb named 'Wyndmoor'. The year I was born, my parents were having a house built on some property they bought from the "Stotesbury" estate ... the Stotesbury Mansion (as we kids called it then) was an unbelievable mansion that had been built in Wyndmoor around 1917. It's official name was "Whitemarsh Hall", and it had three floors above the ground and three floors below the ground - it was so cool. Our home was built real near the mansion, and almost every day, my sisters and I would run through the woods that separated our neighborhood from the grounds of the Mansion; to arrive in the 'Formal Gardens', where we would play to our hearts content. If anyone is interested in seeing this extraordinary mansion, you can do so at: http://www.serianni.com/wh.htm I was very fortunate to have spent the first six years of my life running around this mansion, so I have extremely fond memories of Pennsylvania. All the personal stuff aside, Pennsylvania was the place where many historical happenings occured as relating to the building of our country. Like, on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independance was signed and put forth; Philadelphia is the place where the "Liberty Bell" is stored (I remember going to see it when I was in elementary school on a field trip.) All kinds of stuff went on there. Sincere Regards, Michaela ___________________________________________ "They will never make a perfect heart until they make one that can't be broken." ....... well i'm from like nepa & i don't suck. haha. but it is pretty boring. if there were more cool people & shit it'd be diff. it's a nice area.
I live just outside of Johnstown, Pa. I like it here, but most people around here can't think outside the box. Big state, small minds.
PA is a sweet place, very seenic and there are loads of cool people around if your social enough.... i think its a great place to grow up, and so close to so many different areas. born and raised in downingtown myself
I had great times when I was in various places in PA, from the Renaissance faire, to camping or hiking, to riding along the tow path by the Delaware. It seems a lot of people say the same "it sucks here" in many places and many countries... you should try Jersey, except for the woods which I mostly dwell in, it really stinks here, at least in the area I'm in now. Can't find any hippies at all, can't blame them for being scarce...too much attitude here... can't wait to get a chance to leave. Bottom line, make the best of things until you can go elsewhere. Peace all
