When I go little overbored on eating, I automaticaly throw it up. It's not self-induced, it just happens. it's a fairly large amount puke. I don't gag though, it just comes up. I used to think it was acid reflux, but I never get heartburn. I dont get nauseous either. This has been going on for a few years now. I've told my mom but she doesnt seem to give a shit. So I havent seen a doctor...is this normal?

i'm not one to really give advice on something like this, but i don't think it's entirely abnormal. I imagine it's like babies....babies throw up all the time when they're too full, or when they have a big burp. I would suppose the only danger of it, is if you're throwing up a lot of stomach acid, and not just food...cuz that would damage your asophogas. Again...i'm not a doctor, this is just what i'd tell myself if it happened to me.

I have a very similar thing. and have had it for ten years or so now. I found that certain foods also induce it, so now I dont eat ice cream. If I just dont eat much, and eat healthy, it doesnt seem to come up.

May not be a bad idea to see a doctor. You didn't say how often it happens, but if it's more than once a week or so then I'm surprised you haven't already seen one. I mean, maybe you have an allergy or something that makes your body reject some foods. Either way, seeing a doctor could put your mind at ease, rule out anything scary, and maybe let you know what not to eat, if it is an allergy.

NO. I am a health care professional and I can tell you this is NOT normal for a 15 year old girl (who has a MUCH different digestive function than a small baby!)
This is NOTHING like an infant spitting up. Infants consume little more than milk, they very little stomach acid and NO teeth to ruin. Even babies who throw up too much, though, can get damage to their digestive system from this. This girl has a pathological problem. It needs to be treated.

You can damage your esophagus, ruin your teeth, throw off your electrolytes ect. You NEED to see a doctor. Your mother doesn't give a shit? Her responsibility is to give a shit. Talk to your counselor at school, they can actually make your neglectful mother get help for you, or get you help some other way.

You may live an other 70 or 80 years, you don't want to do it with a a hole in your esophagus, ruined teeth or serious long term health problems.

You need to see a doctor NOW!

yeah... something isn't right with that. I imagine it could be a weak valve between the esophogus and stomach - i have this and get frequent heartburn. My advice is to eat slowly - you will know when you are full sooner, plus it gives your stomach time to take things in. But definetly see a doc - you could be losing a lot of nutrients.
