I When I stopped my music for a while back in the seventies I wanted to use my time for self-development.... think that was the time I began to have more lucid dreams and could fly etc. Now for many years I seem to have been too busy with projects, and my dreaming life has become mostly nighmarish and dull. I do not wake up feeling rested either.

Having no direction (from 1974 to 1995) I became a target for cults left and and right, all claiming to have the Messiah at home waiting to meet me.

I wasted a lot of time with those charlatans and in the process I wasn't making progress in any area of my life..romantic, financial, healthwise, or even spiritual, although I deluded myself into thinking I was searching in the right places. To this day I have not developed any personal power although I may be able to intelectualise about many a subjects.

I am finally confessing that I have nothing in the area that I intended when I gave up the band that promised a future.

I need some advice and guidance in the area of dreaming desperatedly.
Since I have always known intuitively that if you can master dreaming you can be also a master of yourself.

I have always known that, but I have been doing the wrong things and have not made any advance to control mine (dreams) at all.

Any tips and advice from the experts here would be incredibly apreciated.
More than that, I need someone patient that can go the distance, something like Carlos and Don Juan.(A yaqui way of knowledge) I know some of you are very old souls, since you have to be to be, in order to be a master of dreaming.

To control dreams, be lucid etc, is better than conquering a kingdom or taking a city. For this reason, what I do musically is nothing to me even though it does make some money.

The power of dreaming is also the power to live, and we all need that very much. I believe strongly that those who do not control dreams are asleep while waking.

PM me if you have the time to answer Pms since I can ask a lot of questions. Mostly I need tips on what to do and not to do, what foods help and hinder, and what visualisations if any; or things I can't possibly know as of now.

As a teen, I used to have many flying dreams, and later on in life I was lucid in many of my dreams. I gave up the world for many years to wander around thinking that this would release a lot of energy, but my dreams continued to be basic and stupid.

I am a master of many things, and I need to be a master of that as well, but I seem to be less than a novice in that area of most importance.

Will you consider teaching me in private though?

I don't care if you're 12 or 120, I need someone that can respond to what I ask, and with experience in that area; and willing to guide another patiently.

I just started reading this section, and I'm amazed at what some of you have achieved.

Ask me more questions, I may have some suitable answers.
I am probably what you seek in a "teacher" of sorts, even though I'm not that old.

oh, I have heard that some dream things are unique and will be more difficult for some people to learn than others.

Heres a tip for flight if you hav't already made a good stable flight technique:

The first thing you want to do is try to hover. Just concentrate on being weightless, and I guarentee you will be a few inches off the ground in no time. After that, start trying to move around, and you will be on your way.

I don't believe in age. You could be older than me, for all I know.
Robert Monroe began having out of body experiences, and none of his psychiatric friends could give a plausible explanation. In time he discovered that he was a monk in a former life and had began doing those things back then. "journeys out of the body" by him, was my introduction to the world of "everything is possible".

Age of the present body means nothing, I think in fact you have practiced these things in many lives before, but of course you can't remember.

Im christian, so I dont beleive in past lives, but I do see what you are saying.
I've had my dreams interpreted before, and it turns out I'm to be important.

The clothes turning white thing is actually noted in the bible, something like:

"And those that are gods favored of all the children shall be dressed in white rainment.
". or something like that. Also I dreamed I was fighting in gods army after the rapture, the holy army was coming to desroy gog and magog and I was near the front of the lne.

It could be so, what you are saying of course, whos to know?

Topics relating to reincarnation were taken out of the bible, because it would take some of the power away from those who had the authority to do so.

Cleaning your room well and putting incense, bathing in sea salt and rose water, putting continuos soft music all night, and if possible reading any kind of scripture or yoga book before bed instead of watching anything on tv I know it's very helpful.

namkhai norbu wrote a book called..."dream yoga and the practice of natural light".

anything iv got worth telling you that book will also tell you.

more important than mastery over our dream world is mastery over our awarness when passing through the "void" into our dream world, (normally one loses conciousness just before falling asleep, the goal is to remain concious through the night)... powerful dreaming is a side effect of what norbu calls the practice of natrual light.

From what I can tell from this thread is that your having to relearn the basics, and I know that any help is welcome in that area. Untill you ask some questions I personaly cannot help much, but I will try.

If your wanting Control of your dreams then it is all in your mindset. In your, and I stress your, dream the only thing that can limit you is your perseption. What you perceive to be laws in a dream is where you hit a wall. To go past those walls you must convince yourself that those laws do not pertain to you.

This is just a basic understanding of dreams. Ask some more questions and I will try to help you out in any way I can.

The easiest way i can think to become lucid in dreams is to always have, in the back of your mind, the thought that you might be in a dream while your awake. That way when you go to sleep and dream, no matter how real the dream feels, that question is asked. Once you can answer the question as to weither or not you are awake or dreaming you acquire the lucidity you desire.

I had lucid dreams so real that there was no way at all to know the difference, but my trick was to jump up. Even while floating one foot above the ground, it was hard to believe that this was indeed a dream.

These lucid dreams would happen to me spontaneously, without me asking for it, or doing anything before going to sleep. I could fly over fields, and even over lakes, and In most cases, if not all, someone was trying to catch me from the ground, since no one else in my dreams could fly.

Once only, I pulled someone up, and we flew together with me holding on to their hand.

Fasting I know could help. I am very positive of that.

The only thing anyone need do to reveal themselves to the vast powers of the human mind, is to realize that dreams themselves, are no different a reality than what we perceive as waking life. When one truly believes this, the power of the spiritual journey is at your fingertips :)

no different in the sense of experiencing it AS reality. its own reality. but certainly in a different, essentialy 'parallal' space.

Sure! I am in no way going to argue that, I am simply saying that dreams are a product of our conciousness, and all states and space are contained within this vast reality, but they should not be perceived as seperate, mystifying nonsense :)
