Hey who like Kubrick? A clockwork Orange is just excellent but how about Lolita? do u like it? and 2001? killer's kiss(i dont know if it s the right title)? etc etc
I love all of Kuberick's films, but I have to say Full Metal Jacket is my all time favorite, closely followed by Clockwork Orange. He's a genius...well...until he did Eyes Wide Shut, then I'm pretty sure he was just going senile...
I do love the lolota.....havent seen it in awhile,ever read about it he had alot of trouble getting that movie out.
you didnt like Eyes wide shut? why not. this movie was good,but the end breaks everything, i think this end wasnt the real end ... cause the idea was awesome and everything was going right,and in the last 10minutes all the movie has just fallen ... well if they had made another end , it would have been one of the best kubrick s movie . Full Metal Jacket is just excellent,i agree with u Lolita,Shining,Clockwork and FMJ are my favourites
I don't know why, but EWS, just kind of lost me. The beginning had me, but as the movie progressed I lost interest. I heard that he did all the sex scenes with just the actors and himself, no crew or anything, I guess to make it even more "intimate". I thought that was kind of cool, though...
I really like Kubrick and I did actually really like Eyes Wide Shut. My favourite is The Shining Love it! Such an amazing director with amazing cinematography, film ideas. He was a bit of a harsh director though in his telling his film stars whst to do.. but thats what they are there for to be told what to do I guess GRAND!
I also LOVE Dr Stranglove... amazing film!! (Oooopsee just realised I could have just pressed edit on my last post.. sorrrry)
Dr. Stangelove is a great film. Story goes not long after it was released, an Air Force general was forced to retire after admitting he had views very simular to Gen. Jack D. Ripper in the film. Don't know if its really true. Couldn't really understand 2001. The book explains a little more than the movie did. Always liked Barry Lyndon. Seems every scene is could be a Painting from the 1700s. The soundtrack is great. The book is an execellent read.
Oh i completely forgot Dr Strangelove..... Shame on me.Well for sure it s one of my best kubrick's film.
