I 've got tons of goodies in my collection. I specialize in Top 40 from the 1950's thru the middle 1970's. Here's a few that most people can't say that they have. The Buddy Holly Story Vol. 2 Chuck Berry's Golden Decade Vols. 1-3 The Animals - First Album (US) in MONO The Doors - First Album (Mono)
Thats cool...Collecting records is fun! I got a bunch. My favorite is The Jimi Hendrix Experience-Are You Experienced? It's in pretty good condition. I got Zeppelin's second album too...
Some of my vinyl favorites: The Who - Happy Jack The Who - Tommy (Original 1969 US, DECCA pressing; like new) Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs Syd Barrett - Barrett The Beatles - Meet the Beatles The Beatles - Revolver (1966 UK pressing) The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed Big Brother & the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis: Bold as Love Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow The 13th Floor Elevators - The Psychedelic Sounds of... Damnation of Adam Blessing - The Second Damnation Moby Grape - Moby Grape King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King The Byrds - Fifth Dimension
Yeah, but it's a reissue that I bought new. The best part about it though is that you can read Roky's original liner notes on the back cover. They're too small to read on the CD version. Also, the vinyl is red, which I think is awesome. :H
actually Tommy Hall wrote the liner notes, roky only did the singing. Very cool anyway, even though it's a reissue. Maybe i'm going to buy The Psychedelic World of the 13th Floor Elevators, this boxset (3 cd's) contains all their albums plus a lot of bonustracks, but unfortunately i heard it doesn't have the original artwork or the original linernotes , so i'm still doubting. Maybe i should buy all the albums seperately with the original artwork but without the bonus tracks...
Well, it seems I've been mislead. I read somewhere that Roky wrote them. Hmm, thanks for clearing that up.
I was looking at my mom's old Let it Bleed record and a poster fell out that she never even knew about! its in good condition too! yay!
Heh, something similar happened to me once. I tipped over my copy of Dark Side of the Moon once and this neat, little Wish You Were Here emblem fell out. However, your post makes me kind of sad... now I realize that my copy of Let it Bleed is without the poster! Damn.
