They should be ok under flouros for a while - keep 'em real close to the tube. If you can provide a little fan to stir the air up a bit, that would help untill you plant 'em. Don't worry about nutes yet, new sprouts are good-to-go for about three or four weeks. Good luck!

Thanks. Do you have any reccomendations as to how big they should get until i can safely transplant them outdoors?

It really depends on your weather! Are you past any danger of frost in your area. If so, they can go outside any time. I've always found that little sprouts are pretty tuff and rugged! You just need to toughen them up a little before planting (if possible). Just put them in full morning sun for two or three hours (or partly shaded sun all day). Each day add an hour or so of time in the sun (or move the partly shaded plants out so that they get a little more sun each day). In a few days they will be ready for a full day in the sun - ready to plant. If you can't go through this process for some reason, don't feel to bad - they may get a little "sunburned" but they'll be ok. A worse problem would be to wait too long and let them get s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out under that flouro light!

u dont need to make things too complicated. u should maybe open your tank for abit a few times a day or so. plants get get over hot and wilt or die i experienced this problem with my first ever grow. i had them in a home made gorw box and they got too hot n wilted and died.how many are youy planting in that cup? dont wait too long too re-pot and plant outside because roots can get tangled and are very easy to snap. use a tea spoon or something like that too get them out of your cup. i suggest maybe 2-3weeks and then you should be repotting outside

    hope the grow goes well

Yeah, thanks everyone. I am only going to plant 1 seed per cup, and i only want a maximum of 2 plants, so might put 2 cups, 2 seeds. But so far, the setup looks alright to be used for a few weeks?

A few weeks? What happened to ASAP? How would you feel, living in a fish tank, with a small flouro and no ventilation? Are these going to be planted in the ground?

Yeah, I do want it to be ASAP. Actually my seeds cracked last night and I planted them. I'll keep people updated if enough people wanna see my "grow journal".
