I know most people don't have a double boiler to cook cannabutter and using two different sauce pans is a pain in the neck. So here's a tride and true, quick cheater method I have used time and time again to make cannabutter: 1 pound of butter chopped into small chunks. 2 1/2 ounces of dried, finely ground marijuana buds (more if you desire stronger butter). Add ground weed to the crock pot. Put in chopped butter. Melt on high till well blended. Stir occasionally. Let the mixture cook on high till it becomes frothy, stir occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 hours, stirring occasionally. Pour mixture into a mixing bowl. As butter cools, stir occasionally to blend togetther to a light fluffy mixture. Refrigerate or freeze till ready to use. NOTE: You may add small amounts of honey, sugar, or alternate sweetener. This can help disguise any bitterness you may dislike. Enjoy
It's okay if you can't stand to eat the plant matter after taste...that's why I left the note to add additional sugar or honey to knock off the nasty bitterness. Personally...I like it (the taste of pot butter unstrained). I love to eat shrooms as well...dirty, poopy taste and all. Maybe it's cos I used to eat dirt pies as a kid and it brings back good ole childhood memories. i love eating shrooms too. i've never made cannabutter as i still live at home, but i will be making some once i move out in the summer
