Whenever i get stoned, one of my favorite things is to lay down a listen to some pink floyd. I was just wondering if anyone had some other suggestions on music to listen to when ur stoned. And what are beastros?

PF is always good, I also like to put 4 candles in the room and listen to Enigma with the lights out. If you like south american music Cusco is great too.

Depends on my mood, but I'm really digging older jazz right now.

i like the classic rock as much as the next guy, but when i want a really chilled out almost trippy experience, nothing beats radiohead in my opinion!

You'll find that you have more appreciation for trully musical stuff, and stuff with lots of tracks.

The Beatles are perfect caus they are the best writers in teh world, David Bowie's early 70's stuff is awesome too, Im not into radiohead but ive listened to the stuff and it sounds like the sorta stuff that would be good.

Music that isnt good is rap, and punk. i dont liek techno but if your into that stuff, then techno can be good, moreso trance tho.

anymusic that is more music than attitute and catchiness, basically.

    Classical music is awsome high!

The bands I call my "high bands" are, Pink Floyd, Queen, Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix, Beatles, Godsmack, Slipknot and a shit load more.

Every different type of music gives me a different high.

Pink Floyd makes me chilled out. Classical music makes me happy. Slipknot makes me go crazy with headbangin features and all. Bob Marley make me sing and smile uncontrolably (sp).

I always actaully found that indian sitar music to be very very relaxing and unique experience. Reggae is a good mood lifter. Most prog rock like Yes, Dream Theater pink floyd trippy stuff. The doors, stone roses, Chill out music. Native American wigwam stuff lol. Various types of Rock and Metal, death metal for going nuts to. Thats wat i enjoy mostly. Any music thats gets u thinking and exploring.

Here are two contrasting artists i like...

Defiently turn on some '77-'78 Dead or some '97-'99 Phish, or anything from Phish's last tour. Also Toots and the Maytals, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Hendrix, moe., disco biscuits, STS9, Umphrey's McGee, Russo Duo, Mike Gordon solo, or Mike Gordon & Leo Kottke and yonder mountain or Del McCoury or Sam Bush Band or Doc Watson or David Grisman or lots of other bluegrass is good too.

well... obviously most classic rock is good. But if you are looking for some more current bands I would highly recomend getting into jam bands and the like. My favs are in no particular order: The Grateful Dead (classic I know, but still c'mon!) Phish, The String Cheese Incident, MOE, Widespread Panic, Yonder Mountian String Band, Vida Blue, Gov't Mule, The Jazz Mandolin Project, Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Galactic, Medeski Martin & Wood, Bella Fleck and the Fleck Tones and Keller Williams. Those should give you a good starting place. Oh, and George Clinton and the Parliment Funkadelic!
