It's a question as old as time, well, I'm kinda tired of looking at all this other crap ppl are writing about on here as I was checking to see if my question has been answered already. Guess you don't need to know my story ENTIRELY. All I can say is that I tried it w/ my guy yesterday....ehemmm for him, it was ehhh...."successful" and now I REEEEALLY just want the facts: can a girl get pregnant by having anal sex? PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!!
yes but its rare. the cum has to leak out of the ass or condom and down to touch yer pussy. so if you let the cum get slathered ove ryour pussy theres a chance (fairly small still) that you could get pregnant. when in doubt, take hte morning after pill nad get yerself on some regular birth control
According to statistics, anal sex has an 8% failure rate for pregnancy. The average failure rate for condoms is 12%. I suppose that means anal sex is a better form of birth control then condoms.
And where did you get these "statistics"? Please stop spewing bullshit all over, it's getting on my rug and it's terrible getting the stains out of this thing.
I guess it was harder to take a second and check a search engine then to display what an ignorant asshole you are? The link to the Kaiser Family Foundation (the organization who's statistics I quote) is broken at the moment. Therefore, in an effort to educate you and bring you out of your ignorance, I will refer you to some other sites who received thier information from the KFF study. http://www.sexual-health-resource.org/sex_and_pregnancy.htm http://www.loveletterbox.com/love_sex_stats.htm http://www.tantra-sex.com/ummfall00.html http://www.mcs.ca/vitalspark/2010_conciousness/208ta15.html I could provide additional links, but I will let you practice using a search engine. Might I suggest Google or Yahoo.
luvmywifeass, I'm afraid you misrepresented the facts as they are related in your cites. From your first link: Then, only after this explanation to they say: This absolutely does not mean the same thing as "anal sex has an 8% failure rate for pregnancy" (which is what you said). It means 8% of couples studied who weren't using any methods of birth control besides anal sex ended up getting pregnant over the course of a year. They almost certainly were having vaginal sex at some point as well. Your other links, which are from dubious sources to say the least (an advice columnist, a tantric sex site, and a "new consciousness network" are not what most would consider scientific evidence) just quote this same study in an apparently copy-and-paste fashion from each other. I don't see anything in any of your links supporting your statement that "the average failure rate for condoms is 12%" (what does this mean exactly, anyway? That 12% of the time you use a condom you are going to cause a pregnancy? Or perhaps, like the other figure, that 12% of couples who reported using condoms as their only form of birth control ended up getting pregnant over the course of a year... and *gasp*, maybe they didn't mention to the researchers that they had sex a few times that year without condoms?). If it is there and I am missing it please point it out to me. Also, when you go around saying something is a fact as you have done, the burden of proof is on you to provide reliable, trustworthy citations to back up your claim. Also keep in mind that there are so many factors and variables in every rigorous scientific study that no one study is accepted by the community as a whole as irrefutable evidence, but only when many studies draw the same conclusion is any credence given to the results by the community at all. In any case, please be mindful of this when posting as fact things which you are not sure of yourself. When I'm ignorant of something, I'm not afraid to admit it. But recklessly spreading ignorance does hurt people.
play nice kids. ive heard the 12% stat for condoms from varoius sources, no i dont have any links atm, but its 12% including when theyre used incorrectly. when used correctly condoms are 99% i do believe athena - only knocked up if the cum leaked down onto your pussy, and even then its pretty rare. i hope you used a condom for anal though, eek
Highly probably not. Although, having unprotected anal sex with lots of different guys (you didn't say you are sleeping around, but I'm just saying this as a general warning) is a good way to contract an STD, including HIV. Be safe and have fun!
Excuse me? I was quoting the "average failure rate" for methods of birth control. Meaning, this was the average for couples using this particular form of birth control, regardless of how well they practiced it. That is also why the condom failure rate is 12%. The study also states that "condoms used perfectly" have a failure rate of 3%, not the 1% you mention in another message. Where do you get your statistics? The Kaiser Family Foundation is certainly not a dubious source. I will be happy to post the broken link to the study, in hopes it will soon be fixed. It is http://www.kff.org/womenshealth/Contraception_Fact_Sheet_FINAL.pdf. As it was not working, I posted the other links, which all stated the same information, undoubtedly taken from the KFF study. Please feel free to email them, I'm certain they will be happy to email you a copy of the study. I didn't know you were referring to the condom failure rate, but thought you were referencing the failure rate of anal sex as a form of birth control, as that's what the thread referred to. As well, I have provided numerous links that all quote the same statistics. It's up to you to refute it with your own "trustworthy citations." You said in another post the failure rate for condoms was 1%? Where do you get your statistics? I can point to dozens of studies by medical organizations and groups, such as Planned Parenthood that state the number is much higher. The Kaiser Family Foundation study I quoted, said condoms "used perfectly" had a 3% failure rate. You're backpedaling, attempting to use semantics to try and bolster your rude response. It is you that have not been mindful in refutation of the information I presented. Apparently, you are afraid to admit it when you are ignorant of something. Recklessly spreading ignorance? My statistics, from a reputable medical research group, say the failure rates of these forms of birth control are higher then what you state. It doesn't hurt someone to take extra precautions. It could, however, hurt someone to believe your 1% condom failure rate statistic and end up pregnant, or with an STD. Someone once said, "Don't argue with a jackass, folks won't be able to tell which one of ya is the jackass, after a while!" Good advice, I'm done.
let me give you all some info without any stats or percentages, etc.... A women is fertile about once a month, sometimes she is fertile more than once but only right after pregnancy because of the elevated hormone levels and her body trying to get back to normal, this is one of the reason it is so easy for women to get pregnant again after having a child. Back to the subject....Women's chance of the egg getting fertilized is about a couple hour window, but this means nothing really. Why? Well sperm can live inside a womens vagina and uterus for up to 7 days...yes people 7 days. There is something called fertile mucous that a women produces when she is getting ready to ovulate and that my friends is the white stuff for disaster to happen if you are not ready for a child. This mucous is what helps the sperm live for a long time because it reduces acidity of the Vagina and provides a perfect environment for mister spermy to ride the wave all the way from the outside in. And it only takes one. Average number of sperm cells in the ejaculate of a healthy man: 40 million to 600 million. With all that being said can a women get pregnant from anal sex? Answer is yes if the conditions are right. Good luck to you.
luvmywifeass, you confused me with another poster. I never made any claim about the effectiveness of condoms. Please re-read the thread, I believe you are looking at this quote: From Allonym.
The lady that taught sex ed in HS said that when used correctly, condoms are 99% effective 67% of all percentage statistics are completely wrong. Including the one I just gave you. But then again it might be right, who the fuck knows? So let's keep arguing over what numbers are right and whos wrong, because in the end that's all that matters. And Faith, odds are you're not gonna get pregnant that way....the stars would have to line up just right. I wouldn't risk it though, be careful. By the way, how'd ya like the anal?
"when used correctly" was the key part of my phrase boys. no i dont care what age you really are your both acting like children fighting over whose right, who gets the best toy, wheatever
I did anal with my girl last night. let go inside of her now obvioulsy it didnt all saty in there a very tiny amount like barley even noticeable may have made it down to her pussy? what do you think the chances are?
