G'day fellow barefooters. A collegue of mine recently returned from Western Australia with two toe rings. They look okay, made of copper, but since my collegue is a female I was wondering what the general concensus was on males having toe rings was? I was thinking of a wider copper toe ring with an astronomical design on it. I've asked my students but want some response from you, if you don't mind. Avagoodone. Rob.
I've got several toerings.I don't wear them all the time,or at he same time.I buy them from street vendors or headshops. The way I see it all they are is mini anklets or bracelets. I think they're cool beceause I hate going barefoot "plain".
My brother uses alot of toe rings. My toes are too thin to wear them, and they are not comfortable with the shoes that I have to wear for school.
I've been wearing a toe ring on the fourth toe of my left foot since about 1997. I started out wearing a plain silver toe ring, the kind that is open in the back for bending and adjusting, but I then found a solid ring, again a plain silver band, and that is what I wear to this day. It hasn't been off my toe in at least five years. In fact, it is difficult to get on and off because it just barely fits over the end lobe of my toe. Since it's a full circle, I never have to worry about it turning around on me or pinching skin. I don't get much reaction about having it. People who notice either don't say anything, or say something positive. I don't recall anyone ever saying anything negative about it, but I have caught some glances from people who then whispered to someone else near them, but I have no idea what they were saying. I don't really care what others think of it, anyway. I wear it 'cause I like it. I was downtown West Palm Beach one night with a couple of girls I know, sitting on a bench near a trolley stop. A guy about my age came by with his mom and dad, and he had on a silver toe ring too! I actually said to him, "Wow, you're the first other guy I've ever seen wearing a toe ring. Cool!" He smiled and laughed and said it was cool, too. Blue skies, -Jeffrey
I'd say no...but I'm not a big fan of barefeet... so I'm just going to be leaving this thread now....lol *runs*
Guys wear earrings, nobody really thinks anything of it nowadays, though years ago they would have been laughed at. I guess the same would apply to toe rings, I've worn one myself and have received positive comments from a couple of women. I'd say go ahead and wear them.
i guess if your a city girl/guy....being barefoot is not considered normal.... pitty.. i hates shoes..wouldnt matter where i lived.
sooo... barefoot_girl ...... besides hating shoes it seems you hate yourself and have decided to steal my identity!! isnt being me great!! i love it!! always have!! I LOVE TOE RINGS!! only problem is ... i can never find them when i want them!! i dont have a jewerly box - i just have a draw i toss everything in! So when im rushing out i just grab something! Toe rings are small and tend to get pushed to the back!! Also with my sister and me sharing stuff they tend to disappear pretty fast!! <side note to barefoot_girl - that sister would be ANGEL - you know... the middle sister that u didnt see fit to include in your photo galleries!! to say shes a little pissed about being left out... well.. is putting it mildly - especially considering you did include our big sister .... KRIS!!! - just thought you would like to know - ANGEL IS PISSED AT U and she tends to attack and tickle when shes pissed! thought u might like to prepare yourself!!>
