Its actually true - you just dont hear about it on the bbc because the government is propoganda - not reality - what do you think "spin" means?????

You can research any of those storys and find - that credible sources report them but in obscure titlkes and not prominently on their websites etc -
they certainly dont print them in the tabloids or put them on the news
(although the second story if you click the link is reported in none other than "The Times")
the source above is an official union news gathering site

after all why would the British Bullshit Corporation publish this:
    or this

Just because the BBC doesn't think your political agenda to be top news don't make them bad, if you want bad campaign against fleet street.

Are you trying to tell us that Mr Simpson (like who the hell is he anyway) will decide who the next labour leader will be, sorry mate but gone are the days.

And the pension fund quote is old news, heard it discussed ages ago on Radio 4.

    Derek Simpson,
A fairly astute union man who owns a 1/3 or a 1/4 of the labour party politicians
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Simpson

    on the BBC subject
Yeah but the way you heard it was just some people moaning and the government saying "yeah yeah ok ok we'll do something" they didnt tell you theyre gonna pay 8 billion over 60 years - i mean whats that about -

The unions are still quite powerful and do actually have a great deal of influence over the Labour party electoral college. Fact of the matter is that the unions post their news from the left wing perspective and the BBC just does exactly as its told to do and posts the BS that makes us look good to other countries -

The unions know its all bull but if people keep slagging the unions off the state of power between corporations, companies, and the workers will get even worse - how do you fancy working on a zero hour basis - where you turn up to work and if they got work for you - you work if they aint - you go home with no pay - and thats at a bank !!!!!!!

oh dont think thats legal, or that banks dont operate like that in this country???

think again !! and theres more employers only too willing to follow suit

just go to the DTI website
    (department of trade and industry)
    http://www.dti.gov.uk/

    search for zero hour contracts

The idea being that you do not ask for wage increases but bargain with an offer of low wages - that way the workers with the lowest wage claim gets the job that day - thats how it works when used in the banana republics and theyre shoving old timers who expect decent pay and conditions out the door

ha ha ha - all our bases are belong to them bastards - ha ha ha all because the workers a few decades ago and all the people now are that rank stupid they bought the idea that the unions made them worse off - WAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA !

A decade from now you will bargain on a daily basis to keep your job if you work for someonelse !!! Whats the answer - form or join unions !!!!!!!!!!!
UNITED WE STAND - DIVIDED WE FALL !!!!

No-ones slagging the unions off in fact I have a deep respect for what they stand for, its just that I am a rational being and find scare stories counterative I suppose.

There is nothing inherently bad about negotiated contracts its how they've worked since they existed. Turn it around the other way, the company will only get the best person for the job by offering a better deal than his competitor. Sure menial labour might suffer bad contracts but the legislation is in place already to stop abuse, they won't scrap it.

Derek Simpson is a stain on amicus, trying to ruin the gazette and force the broad left out of existance

Thats one way to look at it I suppose, of course the other way to see it is that he is merely keeping the extreme left from hijacking what he sees as an agenda that demands finesse and tact with politicians that arent too pleased right now to have the unions dictating party policy at all. The unions are in a precarious situation and if they rock the boat too much the Labour party will scrap being funded by unions in favour of taxing the electorate for party funds, and then there will be no need for the unions at all- the object is therefore to lobby for what you want - not demand it.

You only have to look at the RMT to realise where they are headed - out the door as they are too militant

As a politician Derek Simpson is a very astute geezer - the same cannot be said for officials of the RMT who seem to prefer a 1970's style of unionism

Simpson has a foot in tyhe door with parliament, but the RMT is building baricades
