Red blotches when I smoke this weed?

OK I know this is in the wrong section, if the mods will just bear with me, I'm posting here instead of the general MJ section because people on the Growing section seem to know what they are talking about and have helped me out with good advice before, whereas people in the general MJ section tend to be 14 year old kids that think its funny to force there dog to get high.

Well anyways, I was given a load of weed by one of my freinds a couple of weeks ago, it's good quality weed he grew himself, with me helping so I know there are no adulterants or anything bad has been added while it was growing.. The problem is that when I smoke alot of it I get these red blotches on my skin, around the areas where the bone is near to the skin, my knuckles, wrists, cheek bones ect. This never happened before with weed or hash and I've been smoking for years. I was just wondering has this ever happened to anyone before? Or does anyone have any idea as to what it could be, or what is causing it. I was thinking maybe mold was aloud to grow while it was drying out, but this seems unlikely because I have harvested and dryed my own weed before with no problems and I gave my freind very clear instructions on how to go about it, also there is no smell of mold on it, and anyway I've never heard of mould causing this, have any of you.

It sounds like an allergic reaction. A friend's wife had been a toker for years and then **bamn** it started making her get tremors. Shaking. It repeated time after time so she quit.

I have seen the red marks appear from shrooms on a first timer. That was an allergic reaction.

Mold? hmmm I do know that can cause problems but I have no personal experience with it. Have you tried some from a different source since? and did the red blotches reappear?

Well, I don't make my dogs get high - but I can't you either - sorry! What happens when you just smoke a "normal" amount?

 

Stiney your body is trying to give you a message that this particular batch of weed isn't agreeing with your system. You have some classic symptoms of some kind of allergic reaction. While your symptoms don't sound that bad, they sure don't sound good. Try a different batch of weed before this shit gives you a serious reaction.
And hope it's just a reaction to this one bag.

 

Yeah thats probably good advice fishhead, thanks for the help, Cammo and Bill aswell. Normally I would have stopped smoking it as soon as I started getting the symptoms but its really very very good weed, and thats a bit of a rarity around here for the last year or so, its easily the best I've had since I grew my own crop a good few months ago. I have just switched back to smoking hash for the time being and there is no recurrance of the problem. It must be something specific between me and this particular weed because I know around a dozen people that have smoked it from the same crop and no one has had any problems.
