Amsterdam and lots of psytrance please!

Hi everyone!

I'm heading off to Amsterdam next Monday for a few days and was wondering if anyone knows of some fun clubs to go to on weekdays. Is Trance Buddha still around?

Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated!

 

Amsterdam is notoriously dry for psytrance parties and you're very unlikely to find anything (especially on a weekday). Namaste/Arc of Goa do parties now and then but on the whole the city is more swing to the progressive side of psy than full on. Trance Buddha closed down about 4 years ago so no luck thar I'm afraid. Coffeeshop Global Chillage plays some nice psyambient often but on the whole it's not the flavour in coffeeshops. Your best bet would be www.goatrance.nl & www.goatrance.net Ozmali records closed down a little while ago but their website still has some partys listed. Check Concious Dreams Smartshop on Kerkstraat for flyers (and great shrooms) and there's a shop with some cd's and bits and bobs at the top of Nieuwendijk.

... btw, it'll be 6 years this autumn since the trance buddha is closed ..
the rev is right about the drought, but there are plenty of new initiatives
under the amsterdamp lately .. check the sites mentioned for details
