there is a singer song writer festival on the waterfront in Jersey. But really the philly folk festival is all you need to know
lol ya ... sadly ... I really want to check out some diffrent tunes ya know ? thanks alot for the advice
what do you mean by different,? The PFF's musical lineup includes folk, as well as blues, bluegrass, celtic, jam band stuff, scottish, african, mexican, zydeco, country, and all types of other kinds.
^ thousands of people come for the entire festival experience, including the MUSIC. Its the music that brings the people together. If you can't appreciate that, you don't belong there.
If you try getting outside of that little mind of yours, you might see that there is alot of stuff out there you never thought you'd like. But then again, I read your little comment about "grunge" and realize that you are just a kid and don't get it at all. Grunge..greatness? Hahaha, pffft... It's always the people that don't know DICK that are first ones to open up there mouths. This isn't the first thread you have done this in. You wouldn't fit in anyway. I've been going there and other fests for years and know that guys like you are only there to get too fucked and ruin it for those around you. So, do the rest of US a favor and DON'T show up...you'll only make an ass out of yourself. We have ways of dealing with your type at fest and it usually ends up with someone like you passed out drunk in a chair after making an ass out of yourself all night, wrapped up in caution tape, COVERED in eggs. Then we put you out there for all to see. Right at the corner of the Pussycat Swingers Club and Aroura Borealis. I've been going to the Philly Folk Fest for 7 years, 5 of them as a volunteer. I see that person every year. They don't make friends and no one wants them at thier campsite. That's kinda' sad considering the sheer VOLUME of people that show up to camp out for 2-3 days. It's turns into a small city that would LITERALLY need a zip code, hahaha!!
^ well said smiley I'm glad people like that have a negative perception of what goes on at fest. It keeps those "kinds" of people to a minimum. This will be year 6 for me, Look for the reefer road sign and i'll be there
DBW Im thinking about going again this year, I dont know if I can make it but if I can we will have to meet up and get to know each other camps!
I was just agreeing with my friend, leave me be. I wouldn't go anyway. People can't have a difference in taste? ha. You're a joke. A bigoted one at THAT!
The joke is critizising a scene you don't understand. You have a preconcieved misconception of a festival you know nothing about. Its like "oh my god, the word folk is in it so it can't be good" Relayer, you should go again. We can trade party favors....
My man, you're an ASSHAT... hahaha!! EVERY one of your replies in most of the threads I see them in are RIDICULOUS. You seem to think you know it ALL, but you consistantly prove you don't know shit. It's not the difference in taste that made me speak up buddy, it's your mindless comments about shit you know nothing about. I mean, you really don't know shit, haha!! Your replies in other threads, (and this one), prove this time and time again. You say I jumped on ya' for having a different taste? What do you think you and your "friend" did (I doubt you have friends)? You came in and basically insulted those that like folk music, simply because you don't dig it. What don't you grasp? Are you retarded or something? Do you walk into a room of people you don't know and insult them where you live? If so, you must have your head used as a punching bag quite a bit. You say you were just agreeing with your friend? Apparently your "friend" has a big mouth and knows nothing as well. You two should get married. The only joke here is you....
ive been a few times, this is the first year I'll be camping there, any info from any of ya'll who've done it before would be appreciated
the green lane scottish/irish festival and the faerie festivals are both worth going to. lots of cool people.
I've lived in the area for about 5 years now but I've never been to the Folk Festival I'm planning on going this year and camping any suggestions on where to camp?? I'm so freaking excited
