hehe innit...my DnD mates moved up to Wales, so we hardly ever play anymore. Did you ever try playing Talisman, kind of DnD boardgame.
i played a couple of times really liked it but unfortunately the people i played with went to college and were really busy with work and school so they never had time.
you mean "dozzens n dozzens" of "drunk n dissorderly" "demons n demmigods"? i do like the idea of roll playing with nothing more then immaginations, a few aggreed upon charts and tables and rules, and a handful or two of less then common regular geometric solids with numbered sides used as a randomization mechanism. dnd itself was a bit creakey for my taste even when it was au currant. tunnels and trolls was better for within the limitations of it, and to go beyond them other systems far better have been developed since. but the idea of roll the dice as opposed to other forms of simulation and or roll playing is still cool and at least the potential of it, i still find inspiring. =^^= .../\...
Heheh...My friend just got torn to shreds by a CryoHydra yesterday. Nasty. Not even enough of him for a rez, even if we could get to the bits. LOL We've actually been doing fairly well on the campaign despite this nasty death. Playing in GreyHawk. Finally hit lvl 7. And Talisman freakn' rocks! Great board game made by Games Workshop
I'm a big DnD fan too. We use to play weekly, but everyone got busy and scheduals didn't coenside, people moved away, etc. Now we havn't played a game for over a year. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to play, then we can start a family DnD night. We use to play so regularly for so many years that I've retired three characters that were started at first level and retired at 20th or beyond (thanks to the epic level handbook).
Ive always really wanted to learn. I found one group that said they'd teach me, but the DM was a flake and it fell through. Maybe someday, in the meantime i have my WoW.
I played once or twice, but none of us were very experienced, and we never really got into it. I wish I could learn more.
Nada, buy a player's handbook for twenty bucks at a game store. or a DMGuide if you're so bold. monster manual's also good if you spring for the DMG
i used to have the first printings of all those books. my brother gave them to me. i wonder where there at now. i played it a bit when i was young.
Yeah, my group fell through... We had 4 couples playing, it was great every friday night. Some of them got into a bowling league.. >_< -roguelove-
