Hello All; I am an "older" hippie lady, who never has been able to leave the hippie years behind. I think that as an "elder" (yikes) of the tribe, I can offer sage counsel from the Heart. I think it is important to share who we are, and our journey. So many of my generation sold out, or became deliberately unconscious..in my fifties I remain a flower-child. Namaste.
Hello there Omganesha; Sage advice, Hm, don't stick you finger in an electrical socket, don’t poke bears in the eye with a sharp stick, don’t pick the shiney three leafed plants, I could go on and on, but I’m sure ya’ll get the picture….Allow me to extend the welcome mat….I know what it’s like to be a newcomer….You don’t really know what to say or how to act….Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed….When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet….Nobody here is going to "Flame" you (unless it’s necessary) lol….We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes and there are several (they go unnamed).…From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters….Once again the doors open come on in, open up your heart and mind, put on some groovy tunes, kick back and stay awhile….Peace, Love & Great Big Hugs, DDR On Being Frank Zappa Interviewer: "So Frank, you have long hair….Does that make you a woman?"… Frank Zappa: "You have a wooden leg….Does that make you a table?"
Way to stick true to your flowerchild roots... I admire you. Share some of your stories and advice with me!
I'm a 19 year old stuck for another year in the body of a 57 year old. It still feels to me like the 60's because the thinking and the music I hear or play remains all from that era, so ina way i have stoppred time but my body has a mind io its own. When this new hippies get to that age they will uderstand what I mean.
Hello drfaustus: Thanks for the welcome, you are free to ask away! I'm happy to share........ OmGanesha
