Hey. I need some help on what light and reflector to use. Dont understand those diagrams... I am growing in a basement, but only want to use about 5' x 5' (25 square feet) of space in the corner... MY QUESITONS: - WHAT KIND OF REFLECTOR SHOULD I USE FOR A CORNER SETUP OF 5' X 5' SETUP...????? I HAVE A 600 WATT ENHANCED SPECTRUM (30% PLUS BLUE) (95000 LUMEN BULB) -ALSO, HOW MANY PLANTS WOULD WORK WITH THIS SORT OF SETUP..??? -AND WHAT KIND OF YIELD SHOULD I EXPECT???? And when I decide to upgrade to the plywood walling( EXPECTING TO PUT PLYWOOD UP AROUND THIS AREA LATER, DIMENTIONS WOULD BE 9' LONG AND 6' WIDE WITH 2 600 WATTS), would 2 600 watt enhanced 95000 lumens 30% plus blue bulbs do me good? Hey T.H Camo Great input. What if I use a 1000 watt 150000 lumens... Would that do me justice until I get another 1000 watt lamp...? And How big should I make my grow room perferably...? Also, im using nirvana fertilizers which work great... Ive heard putting a bubbler in the water feeder when watering... Does this help at all? Get ripped phycodelic, my main man
Hey Saltypimp! "What if I use a 1000 watt 150000 lumens...Would that do me justice until I get another 1000 watt lamp...?" Yeah, a thousand watts would do the trick! 1,000 watts, divided by 25 sq.ft., equals 40 watts/sq.ft. - that is very do-able! Think of it like the amount of food that you eat. If you were cut back to eating 80% of your normal diet, you would be ok but you would probably loose a few pounds eventually. If a plant only receives 80% of the light that it can process, it's potential growth is also cut short! "And How big should I make my grow room perferably...?" 1,000 watts, divided by 50 watts/sq.ft., = 20sq.ft.. 4'6"x4'6"=20.25sq.ft., that's very close! That still gives you 49.38 watts/sq.ft. So I would say that 4'6"x4'6" is ideal with over 49 watts/sq.ft. and 5'x5' is ok with 40 watts/sq.ft. "Ive heard putting a bubbler in the water feeder when watering... Does this help at all?" Yes!!! Tap water is much better for the plants if it's been "pre-treated"!!! It's pretty simple, just run your water into a clean, open, container and let it sit for a couple of days before you use it. That lets the chlorine evaporate out. An airstone makes it happen faster (because it "stirs" the water), plus, it adds lots of oxygen to the water - roots love oxygen. Also; most plants, including cannabis, want water with a neutral ph level - this is easy to adjust but often overlooked by beginners.
